They have so many ways to resurrect the original Buffy series, either through continuing with Buffy's story or focusing on its other characters (Faith? Spike? Willow? Angel? or any one of the many slayers created at the end of series 7?). This animated series looks cool but I'd rather have a non cartoon version that carried on from where Buffy/Angel finished.

@misterpebbles Buffy and Angel are continuted in comic book form, many of them written by the same people who wrote the shows. There's also a Spike comic. And there was talk of a Giles mini-series. The problem with all of this is that networks screw Joss Whedon over fairly often.

Not bad, but I think the directors did few mistakes:-

1. Change the appearance of Buffy little more, she kind of looked emo with black lipstick. Willow looked better.

2.They should have added Angel, Cordelia and maybe even Dawn to get an idea of the characters.

3. Improve the cheesy dialogues, some of them didn't make sense. It doesn't always need to be comedy to be an animated series.

I'm sure if they try again, maybe the series finally gets picked up...

I am kinda interested to see how this would have turned out. It's got some cringe-worthy stereotypical "kid cartoon" stuff, but it's also got some of the really quintessential Buffy elements like Buffy fumbling with the backpack, Willow's nervous babbling, Xander's incessant need to quip, and so forth.

Also, I feel that it would've been interesting to see a fresh take on S1.

Even if this had been bad, kinda wish we were given the chance to see how it could've turned out.
