  • to think a bunch of dirty fleabags from seattle, that sounded like high school garage bands killed this music!!!! thanx to all the ad execs and mtv for cramming it down everyones throats until it tasted good!! fuckin tragedy!!!

  • I saw these guys open for Spinal Tap. Back in 92' this type of metal had run itself into the ground, thanks to bands like Poison, Bon Jovi, Ratt, Cinderella, Skid Row (1st lp), Motley Crue etc people, including myself, were ready for something different. Grunge filled that need, it was totally different from what MTV was feeding us. Unfortunately bands like Roxy Blue and many other good bands suffered. Hopefully now they will get some recognition,

  • check out Todd's new band 714

look for the song World Breaks Down

    just popped up on youtube

    killer stuff

  • anybody else think that right at the end of the video, they started to play Helluvatime by Slik Toxik? another kickass band that shouldve been huge

  • This song sounds like Van Halen - "Hot For Teacher" at the beginning. @ToolFan68: I think that early grunge like Nirvana were okay, but the later acts all started to sound the same and had less talent. Soundgarden went from okay to lame-ass screaming, and don't even get me started about Pearl Glam and Stone Temple Wussies. As far as hair metal (i.e. '80s to early '90s hard rock) I will always remember listening to it on Z ROCK twenty-some years ago...

  • Love it cant believe that Grunge shit killed off the last of hair it was the greatest time in the world for music in the 80s

  • Thank God for GRUNGE! It was the only music strong enough to kill this shit.

  • @ToolFan68 i dont like hair metal outside of van halen and guns n roses(if u even consider them hair metal) but early grunge was good but it really fucked up the future of music. i mean todays music is almost all bands trying to do grunge and doign a terrible job of it

  • @ToolFan68 Then what made you look for such an obscure band/song and comment on it? Hair bands from back in the 80's-90's are still touring and selling out places. I just saw Danger Danger, Mr. Big, Tesla, Great White, Firehouse, Whitesnake and more at the M3 festival... Where are the grunge bands? NOWHERE!! Because they were a flash in the pan for a generation of kids that hated the world and parents. Good riddance!!

  • reminds me so much of Van Halen

  • that would be jani lane on backing vocals, useless info use it wisely, rock on!! great band!!

  • if anyone can find the actual vid and post it it would be greatly appricated ty METAL FOREVER (and dont sit here and say but this isnt metal i know im just sayin...)

  • to me that's a tribute to van halen not a rip off the singer also imitates diamond dave...

anyway far better than van hagar!!

  • The guitar player is so EVH like :D

  • Oh, and as far as the "one-take" recording? I highly doubt that. I know many professional musicians & I, myself, have recorded a major-label record and an independently-released record. There's too many elements that go into a recording that prohibit even the best musicians from doing an entire album in one take. Just sayin.

  • Don't you think "MOST" guitar players in the 80's ripped off EVH? I think so. Maybe this is not so original but, Metallica/Megadeth were copied thru out that era of music. The new music (so they call it) copies itself, I sometimes can't tell which band is on the radio, was that AC/DC nope its Airbourne(great band BTW) or Godsmack, Puddle of Mud, or...oh wait a minute, I can't tell. Point is, ALL bands got their influences from someone, HMM wonder who EVH was influenced by? just saying.

  • @thunderbeast1968 "Influenced by" & complete ripoff are 2 different things. This is a hack-job ripoff!!! For example: Steve Vai credits EVH as an influence for his song, "Juice". Sure, the intro sounds a LOT like VH's "The Full Bug". You can hear the influence, but Vai's style is completely different than Van Halen's. If you played guitar, you would completely agree with me. This song has the "Eruption" wanna-be intro, the "Show Your Love" doo-wop breakdown and everything. Ripoff!!

  • Derivative, sure but they had a decent show.

  • Just heard this song on internet radio...... wow. Apalled @ the blatant Van Halen ripoff. Even the copied shoobie-doo-wah breakdown of the superior VH song, "Show Your Love" . Any references comparing EVH to this guy should be immediately blown off. Eddie's off-the-cuff, hap-hazard (yet mixed with technique) style, tone, & outright ORIGINALITY is what makes him god & all wanna-bes irrelevant. No wonder I never heard of this band. This is why grunge killed this kind of rock.

  • BTW, notice I didn't say "Grunge killed metal"? That's because the real metal survived grunge. The utter BS was rightfully weeded out. Thank God!

  • @jambo383 Well said.

  • @jambo383 And thank god Kiss got back together in 1996,and put an end to all the grunge bands.Rock was revived after that.

  • @WEINBAUER Yeah! shout it out lod!!!!

  • @jambo383 Although in my hair band obsessed days I loved this CD, I have to agree. It's a blatant rip off, and exactly what was wrong with this scene at the time. The level of cheese oozing from this song and band (and the countless others like them at the time) are cringe-worthy at this point.

  • this song kicks fucking ass!

  • People who say Vitto Bratta is the second coming of EVH have obviously never heard Sid before. He nails every aspect of Ed's style perfectly. Props.

  • 1992 !? SUCK ON THAT COBAIN!!

Grunge couldn´t light a candle to this!!

  • @VanishaGlamChick6 This is GREAT but umm.. yeah grunge music killed this genre the second "Smells Like Teen Spirit" became a hit.. Not saying it is dead today, it is nostalgic.. BUT I love Nirvana.. but I'll take this stuff right here over almost everything...

  • Van Halen?

  • these lyrics are so wrong...yet so right at the same time lol

  • loved them ,kinda still do

  • Sid is a dentist now. He got me into music in 7th grade.

  • One of their best songs. Roxy Blue was the best band to come out of Memphis. You should have seen them in the club days. Wish they were still together and playing....

  • @sowensh2 3six is pretty badass

  • What tiny fame they had came from this "shocking" song. But despite their obvious VH riffing, they actually put out an excellent record. I need to go see if I can find it on iTunes - haven't listened in years.

Incidentally, because of the fast beat, it's a terrific workout record.

Anyone else hear a bit of Bas's "Youth Gone Vocals" in some of the early bits of this song?

  • Jani Lane on backing vocal!!! Way cool!!!!

  • This song = awesome when you ARE a sixteen year old girl and ....now .....dread.... when you are the parent of a soon to be teenage girl ! I am getting so old.

  • @10ecn *sigh* happens to the best of us. :(~

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!! ♥ :D:D

  • Love the 80's

  • Ha!! The singer Todd Poole used to play drums for Saliva. He does have a band called Rail that is actually a good rocking band.

  • can anyone say "hot for teacher"?? i agree with 777zippy777

  • Shoulda called it "rob van halen". This kinda shit almost makes me glad grunge came along and killed this crap. what a joke. This is Steel Panther- only these clowns weren't kidding around.

  • @777zippy777 I am gonna dig you a hole so you can crawl in it and die.

THIS IS THE GREATEST MUSIC TO HAVE EVER HAPPEN TO THIS WORLD!

  • @alisimon5 hahaha... and THEN you put down the meth pipe. Not quite there, big shooter. They should give all their royalties to Eddie & Dave. This shit makes Poison look like Led Zeppelin.

  • glam forever

  • @ROCKDRIGOSORTINO Damn right.

  • anyone got a video for their song "Luv On Me"?

Kurt Cobain really did a number on bands like these......sent them into oblivion.

  • vince : HAHA:D

  • love them but they rip off van halen

  • That ain't so bad!

    =)

  • Oh and by the way... my boyfriend, the lead guitarist was also the lead guitarist for saliva. He owns the royalties for "click click boom" and "your disease" which was the only songs i think saliva was ever famous for. Saliva blows compared to roxy blue.

  • Wow, i had to look this video up. The lead guitarist is my boyfriend. Im never gonna let him off for those yellow knee pads...

But seriously he can fuckin play guitar..

  • it kinda sounds like hot for teacher by van halen

  • more like blatantly obivous lol at least poison and pretty boy floyd were alittle discret about it these guys just dont give a fuck lol dam catchy song lol

  • Comment removed

  • a distinct paeodophile lyric...mmmmm

  • So?

  • keep on rockin'!!

  • see that band in Memphis,,,,best music in the world,,final point,,Dany

  • Great song..Thanks for sharing Dany..Love it..

  • What impressed me about these guys was that they did the entire CD in one take... Anyone know if Sid is still playing and w/ who?

  • @mjhjr2 Sid is actually a dentist now. He lives in Georgia.

  • @Rebelfever101 Really?

  • @alisimon5 yep. Sid was no dummy. He was pretty smart.

  • @Rebelfever101 Hell yeah man!

  • @mjhjr2 Sid is a dentist now. Todd poole is in a band called stiff kitty. I do not know what happened to the other guys.

  • @mjhjr2 last i heard is Sid traded a guitar pick for a toothpick as hes a dentist not sure where though but i wanna say in nashville.

  • Comment removed

  • @mjhjr2 Last I heard he was a Dentist.

  • @mjhjr2 Don't know about sid but Todd Poole's band is 714....awesome!

  • would of killed to see Wildside and these dudes... too cool.

  • @jchandler3232 .... YEAH, Wildside and Roxy Blue.... what a killer show that'd be!!!

  • @MG68 It was really great. Never been to a better show and saw some great ones. That show was the best back in 92. In a little club too.

  • @WickedGypsy5000 I saw em in Hollywood at the Troubador with Shotgun Messiah around 92,good band!

  • @spacinjayson They are a good band. It is terrible they never were given the chance to go further.

  • @jchandler3232

I saw Babylon AD, Wildside, and Roxy Blue together. Was a great night!

  • @Wikkid666 All three in one night? ROCK ON! That must've been badass....

  • proper cock rock music.lov it then.lov it now :))))

  • the singer looks like michael starr and the guitarist looks like satchel from steel panther

  • I saw these dudes play with Wildside and Babylon AD at City Limits in Penn Hills(Pittsburgh) PA.

  • Too bad they didn't release more albums throughout the '90s...would have been nice to have something counter grunge and shit

  • Miss the 80s and early 90s.

  • GOD!, Tood poole reminds us of Justin Hawkins! Only better.

  • Nothing like him. What are you on?

  • That's too bad. he's really GOOD. If you're nothing like him, you must not be. Happy? Suits us.

  • Oh right, er... in that case yeah I agree.

  • Does anybody have a copy of Too Hot To Handle?

  • Wow!!! nice

  • poole , you rock

  • Full-on party metal... Fuck yeah.

  • Vocalist = DLR and Robin Zander had a baby.

  • Mike Tramp was involved too

  • With who?

  • this guy is like DLR on crystal med hahahaha

  • Todd Poole is one of the best musicians to come out of memphis, and the best welder. there is nothing that he hasnt touched that hasnt turned to gold. stage stop rat

  • this sounds like it could be a van halen song lol

  • wazzup with vince haha?

  • This is my all time favorite rock song...just perfect in every way.

  • Van Halen rip off, Show your Love was the song they ripped off.

  • Unless I'm thinking of a different VH song, I think you mean "I'm the One."

I don't think it's a direct rip-off of that song- I hear a little bit of "Hot for Teacher" in the drums.

Not bad, even if it is pretty obvious these guys are Van Halen fans...and is that so wrong? How many hair bands _didn't_ borrow from Van Halen in some way?

  • That was supposed to be a reply to viletantrum...oh well.

  • I think everyone "Borrows" from everyone. But damn, we are saying borrow not completely rip off. This is like Vannila Ice rip off.

  • blow me.

  • Yes The lead singer of Roxy Blue plays drums for Saliva! True.

  • No folks. The lead singer was the original drummer for Saliva. He is now fronting a band called StiffKitty. They are great! Check 'em out!

  • The lead singer now plays drums for the band Saliva!

  • WHAT!!

  • is rob the cradle date girls/boys under 14

  • under 18

  • How do I find this song and download it? Does anybody know?

  • If memory serves me correctly, this was the last great hair band to get regular airplay on mtv, this was the beginning of the end as it was literally shelved in weeks

  • What a rip off of Van Halen. In some ways Kurt Cobain did some good for music...putting paid to clowns like these was a good thing. At least VH had panache.

  • damn,1st time i here this song,it kickas ass!

  • Ain't that Vince Neil from Mötley Crüe in the beginning?

  • You cannot see from the quality of this upload but the girl in the video is a saucy little wench - make no mistake, I would like to ravish her with much passion.

  • They're not Van Halen ripoffs. if you weren't alive or in the scene at the time, you would know that. These guys were a very good band that missed out on the promo they should've gotten. Does anyone have a video for Too Hot To Handle?? Been looking for it.

  • They may look or try to look like Van Halen in this promo but this is exactly what rock is, or was suposed to be... A HELL OF A FUN!!

  • no, your mother whorin' on the street corner did. sweet sweet connie was doin' her act LMAO!!!!!!

  • Wannabe Van Halen

  • ah the quintessential peedo anthem!!! no seriously this is a rip of hot for teacher

  • pretty good song

but these guys r petafiles lmao

  • What is a "petafile"?

  • met these guys doing a signing and they all signed my tits wow one of the 1st albums i bought i was only 14 wow !!!!

  • you were only 14? that figures!! starting to have 2nd thorts bout these guys

  • These guys are Re-Uniting! YEAH! Maybe that second album will finally see light?

  • Good stuff!!!

  • Holy frickin' butt nuggets! Headbangers ball playing "80's" metal. beautiful!

  • this is right before grunge came and chopped the 80s dudes down. i dunno if its as good as a say van halen but it does have good energy. ROCK!!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!

  • Wow! So many hot women in this video!! And it really ROCKS!!!

  • this is soo david lee roth and the kick he did on stage! lol. Quite a good song i think.

  • van halen

  • OMG i havent heard them in years, sounds like Van halen kick ass ty for sharing!

  • Ottimo brano! Sono dei grandi!!!

  • Fuck you

  • and the cradle will rock, rob the cradle eh

  • i loved this song in high school. i was looking for the video. thanks

  • i luv this song but it has a bad meaning

  • so van halen in the beginning.. fake

  • I think this song is great.

  • HAHAHA!! Cobain is an Idiot..I'm glad he's already dead noW LOL!!!!! HWAHAHA!! GRUNGE SUCK BALLSS!!!

  • Hell ya! Fuck grunge dude, metal forever. Who wants to listen to music about how much life sucks anyway? That's all grunge is.

  • umm not really

  • duuude fuck you

  • dude shut the fuck up

  • death to grunge! (even though it's already dead as punk rock is... oh yeah DEATH TO PUNK ROCK TOO!!!) GLAM ROCK AND HEAVY METAL FOR-FREAKEN-EVER!!!(WOOOHOOO!!! CAPSLOCK!!!)

  • i agree too , grunge sucks

  • hey fuck you

  • maybelooking I Agree

  • the best thing to ever happen to the music world was when Kirk Cobain blew his damn brains out.

  • Does Van Halen get residuals for this blatant rip-off? The only thing I can think is that they were paying homage to Eddie and the boys...

  • even though i like the song

they were so copying Van Halen

it sounds way to much like Van Halen

    to just be a coincidence

  • Not single beat, note or word that hasn't been already done a million times before and a million times better in short, soulless cat shit.

  • agree based on this song. it sounds like a david le roth mix

  • The biggest Van Halen rip off ever. And they can barely pull that off. This fucking blows.

  • Scotty T rockin his ass off. Awesome video. I can say one thing about this band. They had the very same energy live that you see in this video. And the drummer is just one cool dude. He still plays locally in a band with john roth (of winger) so I am still able to get my 80s fix once in a while.

  • they sound like the band Black N Blue with jamie st.james as the lead singer.they sound almost the same.

  • I miss the real headbangers ball on MTV years ago-I still have this CD, very good, they reminded me of mix between White Lion/Trixter/Van Halen

  • Granted they do sound just like Van Halen, it's actually a good song. It will beat the shit outta 'Smells like Teen Spirit' any day.

  • Spoken a like a true idiot. You're probably wearing acid wash jeans tucked into white high tops as we speak.

  • Hello biffbyford, soyour saying it's not possible for a band to sound like another and make a good song? Your a fucking moron. You're the drunk standing in the crowd of the free concert at the local art festival waving a beer bottle screaming "SKYNARD! SKYNARD!". All because of the lame construction job you have doesn't pay enough for you to go to a real concert.

Also, if you hate the song that much why the hell are you here watching the video in the first place?

  • Nirvana eats dog shit.

  • hey fuck you to

  • van halen?

  • a third rate dave era van halen clone. note the singer doing a split a la dave. note the guitarist sounding exactly like ed and trying to look like him. note the acapella just like in "i'm the one". were they serious? did they not think people would notice?

  • i still cannot see how that grunge garbage could have EVER replaced the musical talent and the showmanship that our beloved rock-n-roll/metal hair bands had,and STILL have!! Do i get an 'AMEN' on that??!!

  • amen

  • wtf. where they deliberately sending themselves up in that vid?? having seen the "times are changing", i suspect not. oh dear lol even in 92, this was outdated. as the 80s glam/hard rock bands had already changed style and musical direction to beat off the grunge torrent(of shit). check out bonjovi's "keep the faith", ratt's "nobody rides for free" or even britney fox's 1991 youtube vids on here. to show that they were playing "dead music"

  • even in 92, this sound and ESPECIALLY the threatrics in the vid were outdated. as the 80s glam/hard rock bands had already changed style and musical direction to beat off the grunge torrent(of shit). check out bonjovi's "keep the faith", ratt's "nobody rides for free" or even britney fox's 1991 youtube vids on here. to show that they were playing "musuem music"

  • now if grunge hadnt happened, bonjovi's "keep the faith"/ ratt's "nobody rides for free"/ GnR would have been the direction LA hardrock would have gone in. harder, more bass maybe funk/house style heavy, murkier

  • Yeah, like so what...

Jeez, do you always sound like a broken record? Do you really think these idiotic posts are gonna change anybody's mind about this band?

You've posted 4 posts that essentially say the same thing, repeating yourself over and over.

    Like doh...

    Get a clue...

  • wtf. where they deliberately sending themselves up in that vid?? having seen the "times are changing". even in 92, this was outdated. as the 80s glam/hard rock bands had already changed style and musical direction to beat off the grunge torrent(of shit). check out bonjovi's "keep the faith", ratt's "nobody rides for free" or even britney fox's 1991 youtube vids on here. to show that they were playing "musuem music"

  • I think this is R. Kelly's favorite song. The guitar player/EVH wannabe should've just gone all the way and striped his guitar red/black/white. This band is the equivalent of a 3rd trimester abortion.

  • He didn't OD, he blew his brains out...which is a shame, but I didn't lose too much sleep...I love hair bands too!

  • Wow is this the first VH tribute band? I hope Eddie and Alex got royalties for this. What a blatant ripoff.
