How do they feel when you lift with them.Do they feel even, meaning does the weight feel evenly distributed? Some say they feel ''off'' and uneven.Thanks...
Powerblocks are great they never break. You'll never need dumbells again. Yes cost a lot but go price a set that adjusts to 130 pounds by 2.5 pounds at a time and you'll see the powerblocks are 1/4 of the price. Oh and Bowflex are PLASTIC and the weight plates crack and thier at all times 17 inches long!!!!!
I want to buy a set of these but I don't understand the difference between sport stage I stage 2 and stage 3. whene I buy stage 3 do I have the possibility to lift 5 from half a pound until a 130pound? or do I have to buy stage 1,2 and 3 for a full weight range?

Picked these jons up (you review, one of a few, helped me decide). Glad I did. I do mostly this mixed with my Bowflex and Bodyelastics T.O. (Terrell Owens) Bands for muscle confusion/routine change in my oeverall Powerblocks workouts. Great vid., brotha. Thanks for posting.
nice video man. do these dumbbells allow you the same range of motion as regular dumbbells? can you easily grab them w/both hands for pullovers and other two hand exercises?
i just had a question about how to adjust it i am 15 and i see the ones that max out to fifty but i want the ones that go to 90 how can you get to go to 35 pounds and i was wondering what is the price range because i just saw it today and i want to get some
@dakcomcast Well, one great thing I just found out today is that these are upgradeable. Meaning, you can get the cheaper 9.0 Stage 1 model and later down the line, say 6 months or a year later when 50lbs isn't enough, you can just get the Stage 2 add-on that allows them to go all the way to 59 kgs per dumbell (around 130 lbs). And even then there's a third add-on!
thanks for the demo. saw them at the gym and screwed around with them for twenty minutes before i gave up. just wondering if youve had any problems with the pin falling out. spanx
@lynch390 I use the Powerblock 9.0 for P90X. They are cheaper, easier to use and have a smaller footprint. Shoulder exercises are better with the Powerblocks as they get smaller when you drop the weight. Select Techs are just as long no matter what weight you use. Powerblocks are the same size as a 35 lb six sided dumb bell.

LOL! "OK. This is a small video clip....pertaining to some PowerBlocks that I own. PowerBlocks are basically dumbbells. These dumbbells go all the way up to 90 pounds.....as you can see right here. With half-pound incerments." LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought a pair of 9.0 stage I, which is 50 lbs. per each dumbell. I can do almost everything with these dumbells but when I did biceps, the pins were coming off the weights. When I put the pins on the top, I noticed that weights were coming off of bottom. I had to stop in the middle of my biceps workout to push in the weights or pins from sliding off. That is the only down side of this dumbells, other than that everything else is so easy and fast.
for real? i've had no problems with mine and i just got them a little over a week. when you push the pin all the way in, it stays there. and what do you mean when you put the pin on the top that the weights come off the bottom???? it's supposed to do that. do you know how to use the powerblocks??? did you buy them new or used?
Piece of Crap?? Where have you seen or handled the Titans. They are hard to actually get a look at. You sound like you have handled them since you called them a piece of crap. I lifted with the PB while deployed overseas and they worked OK. I had a hard time switching the pin real fast though. I currently lift lighter weight and have decreased my intervals to 30 seconds so 65lbs works out right for me. The Titans are the most solids, fastest switching dumbbells I have ever used.
Take a look at the Titans. Very simple and fast. All American. I can't believe how many lagit lifters are buying powerblocks or selecttech dumbbells. It must be that people just don't know about them. It did take me 6 weeks of research before I bought the Titans and I almost did buy the PB's. Glad I held off. The Titans are the best on the market!
Im just askin man do the dumbells come with the stand? also Are they a little scary to hold over your head? Or are they sturdy as shit? I was going to buy the bowflex 1090 but man they are 700 bucks. Are these a better alternative? get back to me

Millitary press, wrist curls a lot of excercises are restricted. Tbh how these save you money I dont know, there like £300 quid or something yet your buying pointless weight you might now even be able to lift? Whats wrong with a standard york dumbell and being able to add weight on when you want to and when you have the money...?
I think you should check out the bowflex selecttech dumbells, more range of motion and less restriction, havent tried them myself but they seem like a better system and easier to use
Nah the powerblock is better than the select tech, select tech is a lot wider and if you have 20lbs on the select deck it will be just as wide as if you had 52lbs on the select tech, also on the select tech u have to adjust the dials on both sides of each dumbell as well as there being complainst about the plates coming off or ppl having trouble pulling them up smoothly from the base. The select tech does look cooler though but overall the powerblock is the best adjustable dumbbell system.
I'm 40, starting to workout again. I just ordered block dumbells before seeing this. I didn't know they go this high. Mine only go up to 25 per each dumbell. Am I whimp? What is a good starting weight for dumbell workout?
A comfortable weight that you can complete a set with, everybodys different so its hard for me to judge how much you can lift, what ever is comfortable tbh, if it gets too easy up the weight.
yeah i heard that too. but ive heard it go both ways. one guy i used to train with swore by them (also behind the neck military presses). i superset them on back day with reg front lat pulldowns and it def makes for a better pump. that said, the guy in the video is leaning way too far forward and going pretty fast, and that can wreck your shoulders, which is why ppl dont like that exercise. i think if you stay light enough and go good with your form youll be alright. and take your glucosamine ;)
If you are serious about workouts and your looking for an adjustable dumbbell, the only debate is Powerblock vs. Ironmaster. Check out my videos about powerblocks. My video demonstrating drop sets is impossible to do with Ironmasters, so take that into consideration if would want to perform drop sets in a workout.
Anyone who has ever lifted any serious weight would 9/10 times tell you that the powerblocks are better. When I was originally looking at gettting adjustables even my girlfriend could tell that the Bowflex's were garbage compared to the Powerblocks. You are limited in 2 movements though, behind the neck double tricep extensions and wrist curls. Other than that they are perfect and built to last. I got bowflex they got up to 52.25 lbs i am 18 and thats not enough for me anymore i am a pretty big boy, i think i need to get the ones that go up to 130 lbs
Great review on the powerblocks. Time to save some cash. I keep purchasing static dumbbells but as I get stronger, it's starting to get real expensive.
I have the Sport 9.0 set that goes from 5 to 90 pounds per hand. It's hands-down THE best decision I ever made on strength training equipment. I just love the ability to fit the equivalent of that many dumbbells in such a small space.
thinkin of getting some of these but what are they like when doing curls? also can you use just one weight with 2 hands? eg. like doing overhead triceps?
EVENPARITY - 2 Handed behind the neck tricep extentions and chest pullovers are the only exercises you cant do with these things, wrist curls are SLIGHTLY impared. I have been working out for 8 years now and touched some heavy weights, Powerblocks work great and there built to last, not like the Nuatilus/Bowflex garbage dumbells.
nice, i like to stick to regular old fashioned dumbbells, dont you love the feeling of those last 2-3 extra reps that just make the muscle feel like it ripping threw your skin? i love it
Good Job Man! I got mine 2 years ago...and I love them! They are always handy whenever you want to workout at home!!! BTW I just ordered the extensions so I can get them up to 130 lbs! Thanks for the Vid!

Thanks darlin, I wish the inventor was me lol, but yes, A blessing for me...Well you keep up the good hard work, sweat, & tears in that gym too. We've gotta stay CONSISTENT, That's the key, eating well also, Its a way of life! dont be jealoussss lol, because by the time you decide to purchase some. They will have some newer & cheaper ones for you lol, Then It'll be my turn to be jealoussss, huh? I appreciate your time!
