Let me tell you what I don't feel...when I watch the videos of Elis Regina and Tom Jobim doing the original of "Aguas de Marco" or "Waters of March" tears come to my eyes everytime but now, with this version, nothing...sorry dude. But you are entertaining...lol
NO, NO, NO, and NO again. And yes it does matter what others say! Zamfir should not be doing hip hop no matter how good he thinks it sounds to HIMSELF
well taking in your philosophy then... most people who commented seemed to like it...
so if that's what matters to you... you should take that into consideration... because it really doesn''t matter how bad it might be to YOURSELF as your opinion isn't the beginning nor the end.
I liked your song, in fact even better than the original, and I'm Brazilian, so I should know what I'm talking about. I mean, I love Brazilian music, but your version is really interesting. Nice job!
I like your version of this song. True, it's not as musically sophisticated as Tom Jobin's version, but that's no reason to sit around an flame you all day. Instead of saying "look I'm playing Fm7b5, now I'm playing Em11" it says "It's the end of all strain. It's the joy in your heart." Unlike so many of the Bossa interpretations that are ubiquitous on youtube, it's REAL. Your understanding of and passion for the poetry comes right across and grabs people. Soul wins over science every time.

I'm witty. You're have witty. You're a big phoney and your replies clearly display this for all to see not to mention your horrific videos. "I gotta stop drinkin' to save up for plane tickets to visit my friends so I can drink with them." You must make momma proud. You're a first class dolt and destined for a life of failure. You should be honored I even wasted my time replying to such a shining example of mediocrity. Quit music and get you're GED. Stop wasting bandwidth and precious oxygen.
Yikes! You really don't have a clue. I know couldn't play the real version if your life depended on it. I dare you to prove me wrong and post PLAYING the correct chords because this version is baby crap. Your rant makes you sound like a jerk. Now I get it. JerkRant
"Interpretation" really means you're too lazy to learn the correct chords Jobim wrote. They're just as easy to play as the wrong ones. Swigging beer and coughing on camera actually degrades your image as does that silly skull jacket with a hood. I normally wouldn't waste my time commenting but you do a nice job of "Big Rock Candy Mt". The chords are on the net and you have all your fingers. Good luck.
I have to say is very good translation. To those who did not like, just don't listen to, there is no need to mock it. I like the version, but I would to like to see you do it in a slower pace. But great Job.
wow... i like it so much better than all of the others. its crazy-good. do you think when you have some free time that you could do some lame youtuber a favor and tab it out? or atleast give the chords
Well sung. Might be more accessible this way to crianças Americanas

I was about to... but since you believe I should prove it to you I will forever leave you in your doubt...
you're one pompous fuckhead... you're not important.. and your thoughts, opinions, life has no worth effect or pertinence to me.
I'm pretty sure you're the one with no clue. You're still here arguing after making a badly phrased witty comment and assumptions based on "image"...
P.S. Maybe I sound like a jerk because I'm not exactly trying to be nice to you...

I know the correct chords... and I learnt them before I decided I didn't like it...
too each his own... you're just making up excuses to make yourself feel more intelligent and useful in this world,..
Maybe swigging beer and coughing would degrade YOUR image... but swigging beer and coughing IS my image... stop getting your knickers in a bunch...
relax...
drink a cup of coffee...
put your feet up...
and stop stressing over such stupid shit as my skull jacket...

Someone's got a guilty conscience.
Fretkillr 3 years ago
it was a simple question... seeing as you commented on my video... and your attempt at a witty comment failed due to some simple logic...
no guilty conscience... I actually quite like my interpretation...
to each his own however

then why not direct them straight to me?
or do you like suspense?

you know this is supposed to be a sad song right?
ssjmysticgohan 3 years ago
is an inevitable spiral towards death such a sad thing afterall?
JerkRant 3 years ago
um yea
ssjmysticgohan 3 years ago
oh.. then you must hate life..
I love life... and the inevitable death that I will succumb is jjust another event...
an unpredictable event in my lifetime that I may not look forwward to... but will not be afraid and sad for..
you live your life in sadness and fear that one day your worthless (and mine) existence will cease... you're just afraid to die a nobody

I totally like this. Great interpretation. Voice has a lot of yearning. bravo.

Very NICE interpretation of a classic ... I think this a brilliant translation into English ... good job brother
charleswight 3 years ago
this is not a good version of the song...it sounds like a cross between Neil Diamond & Jim Croce...please don't do that
cmouswen 3 years ago
What's wrong with either of those artists?
What per say would give you any right to tell me what to do?
If we're going to be pretentious and rude well then be constructive.
Other than that, your breathing is off rhythm. It sounds like a cross between bronchitis and some fungus infection. PLease don't breathe.

I heard the song in a pub... a long time ago... and i remembered it a few months ago...
so i searched lyrics... came up with jobim... researched a bit... heard a few different versions
and had a guitar in my hand...lyrics infront... and a capo on the 4th from playing another song...
I just sorta winged it and refined it... and came up with this cover... which isn't much like the original... hahaha
and that's my story
