For me it's all about the piano riff at the end. It's like a sudden outburst of euphoria which contrasts with the previous material so well.

i just got my copy of NIN's ''pretty hate machine'' remaster album,and i remembered of this song because NIN is a big influence here. he said a long time ago that he liked NIN..so :) and i think back then BT had some problems i don't know..this track is for somebody,maybe an ex girlfriend or something...btw if you look at pictures from that time in 1997 of BT you will find him kinda sad...
