chevy doesn't make the most reliable cars. (my dad had a shitty '88 beretta) and they use older technology thats hard to replace, but this car looks old school and classic like what the surfers drove in the 50's
I know right? I own a 2008 HHR and I love it. It reminds me of those mofia cars from the 30s (or, that's what I thought when I first saw it). Its a very enoyable and smooth ride.
GM cars are very reliable...especially when compared to Chrysler products (but then thats like comparing a diamond to a clump of sand). However, Beretta's are one of those cars....you know, the kind of car that makes me look wrong :)
Otherwise, if you get a GM vehicle new or used from a GOOD owner...you won't have many problems.
The thing is, it has to rely on what's available in the 4-cyl stable in North America right now, and that only includes 5 engines, the smallest being a 1.6L and it's only being sent to production this year.
excuse me?

I wonder if people over there realize like the people in north america, how shitty gm cars are..

Well Gm cars in norway is known for being very durable.. My old Astro Van is still not giving up.
The problem the Us cars have is the motors is to big. And it makes the Us Cars as expensiv as a luxery car.
The HHR is costing 80000 Dollars in Norway.
Thay nead to give it a smal deisel like the 125hp 1.7L from opel... to make it sell

Yes but AL new 4 syl engines are Germany engineered Opel Engine. The 2.2 is an 97+ design.
I now AL this motors are made to have the same engine brackets so.. It could not be so difficult to put a diesel in it..
If they could put that new 1.9l Tdi it will have 155hp.
95% of all Dodge Caliber and 100% of jeep Patriot and Compass have diesel in Norway.

The thing is, the engine installation would have to be done in Europe or the engines to be imported, and that's just plain stupid right now.
Just wait 'til they start manufacturing more Opels in the US.

Wow is that a subjective opinion...
