Apple care works for one year or two years. And this iPod looks like it is the 2006 model (30 or 60gb) that means that any workmanship failure is out of the question. The only way to be compensated for water damage is if you take it out of your homeowners insurance.

for example: if you take an iphone to an apple store for any sort of repair, they shine a light into the 30 pin connector slot and the headphone jack and see a moisture sensor. if it is pink that means that it has been in water extreme moisture enviroments(like rain or a steemy shower). once they see the sensor and it is pink, and not white, they immedatly void your warranty and politely ask you to leave. this is why you cant keep putting ur ipod in water and getting new ones! LOL U R AN IDIOT!
