The Billery smear campaign strategy isn't working and resorts to racism when all else fails, she is further behind now than she was before Texas and Ohio. I can't believe the Clinton's actually sent out Geraldine Ferraro to defend them with her idiotic racist message. Ferraro lost in the biggest landslide election of all time! I actually thought the old bag had died years ago. Next the Clinton's will send out Monica with one of Bill's stinky cigars to throw at Senator Obama.
Hey tard, I am a white male, so by me saying that the Clinton and Ferraro message is racist makes me the racist? That is Clintonian reasoning for sure, sort of like does "is" mean "is". clinton did a lot for blacks. He was considered somewhat of a rockstar in the black community. However as soon as Obama came on the scene race loyalties in blacks trumped and they turned against the clinton camp and Hilary clinton. That to me is racism.
To Make it Plain, I, hate when people, White/Black/Other, come up to me and say, "I'm Voting for Obama," and smile at me in anticipation for approval. That is racist because it categorizes based on race. I'm not Voting for Obama because He's Black, I'm Voting for Obama because Hillary looks sleepy, lol. That Said, Obama 08!!
IF you are going to vote for obama bc hillary looks sleepy you really are not informing yourself! She is tired bc she has to deal with unfair political drama from the press and obama directly! Furthermore...why is it that obama supporters are always commenting on her looks...her being tired or ugly as a way to decredit her!THE TRUTH IS SHE YOU CAN'T CREATE GREART ARGUMENTS AGAINST HER!
Hey, lighten up, I was just joking. I have an idea, I will vote for Obama and You vote For Hillary and then we both can be happy, when Obama Wins. (The Less Stress on Everyone The Better) Obama 08
A racist is someone, I feel, that pays way too much attention to race. That said, I feel the Clinton Campaign, namely Bill clinton with his unprompted, instinctive
Jesse Jackson/Obama comparison, is paying way too much attention to race. Dirty Politics, should make your blood boil, not the legitimate notion that Bill and Hillary are repeatedly discrediting Obama, slightly, with race being the focus. Two Comments: Hilary's, Martin Luther King Response & Bill's, Jesse Jackson coo. Obama 08'
Ok here is the truth. This is politics people, this is not about race by the runners. This was turned into a race thing by the media. This started as a gender thing with Mrs. Clinton entering the run for the white house. This was well before Mr. Obama even made an impact. After he came in and started to gain ground this turned into a race thing. Niether of these individuals are racist and Bill is soo far from being a racist that it should not even be an issue.
the best thing about this election year, seeing so called "progressive" libs get a taste of thier own medicine. Black people isn't it time to get off the Clinton Plantation? A new face that represents our country needs to be in the white house, theyve had thier chance for over 200 years. Don't you get it?
You're full of fucking shit. The only thing incompatible about blacks and the Clintons, is the southern black community's own hypocrisies in its ideas of morality. following the white man's religion and persecuting each other with it. barack will gladly exploit their religious dispositions however, just like he said in last night's debate.
You are a naive FOOL! When libs are looking for the black, hispanic, asian, vote...it's they call it demographics. It's really about race, it's always been about race. You're too young and naive to realize it, i marched with MLK. Liberals love thier pet projects, ie Blacks and minorities, just not in the white house.
It is worth noting that when they lived in the Arkansas governor's mansion, the Clintons had an all-black staff... except for their daughter's nanny, who was white.
So, if they aren't racist, they do support an elitist, racist power structure.
THE CLINTONS ARE DIRTY. THEY'LL STOP AT NOTHING TO GET BACK TO THE WHITE HOUSE. They don't care a damn about anybody or anything except power. WAKE UP!
When the unions endorsed Obama, the Clinton supporters tried to shut down the casino precints in Vegas 2 days later. When the judge laughed them out of court, Bill interferes with our vote in Vegas by showing up at several precincts on the strip, demanding entrance, and dragging along his massive security detail, creating a HUGE disruption. Many caucusers were so star struck that they either didn't bother to caucus, or decided to caucus for Hillary.
There is a big difference between voting to go to war and voting to make sure our soldiers over seas get what they need once they have been sent to begin with. Obama had no part in starting this war, but he did support the troops once the war started and I see no inconsistency with that. It simply was the right thing to do. Are we to deny our soldiers bullet proof vests and armor for their vehicles when they had no part in the decision to go to war in the first place?
If Hillary is so loved and respected, why does she play dirty? Why does she need to recruit slime like Bob Johnson to take out a hit on him? How hypocritical! The crap on BET is degrading to women and glorifies thug culture, including drug use and crime. Bob Johnson has become a billionaire by exploiting black people, pushing filth to vulnerable youth while Obama was working in troubled communities of Chicago.
garbage! anyone paying attention knows he's always advised his supporters to lay off the race card and focus on issues. they attack him, using prominent black figures, and when he clarifies his positions, or if others get outraged at the dirty tricks, he gets accused of race-baiting. Hillary suggested "you may think you're a dreamer and inspirational, but i'm presidential (LBJ) and you're not". His response? "that was ill-advised and unfortunate". Yet he gets accused of race-baiting!
On YouTube you can Hilary Clinton giving her very revealing answer to the Martin Luther King question. She says very specifically "Dr. King's dream became real in peoples lives because a President got it done." She was unambiguously giving the larger portion of credit for Dr. King's accomplishments to Johnson. The controversy began when people reacted angrily and rather than take responsibility for Clinton actually blamed Barack Obama and dispatched helpfully brown surrogates to attack him.
Actually Aztec Bill responded to a question about judgement. Bill brought up that Obama has been giving speeches on judgement using his claim that he has always been steadfastly against the war and criticising Hillary on her wavering judgement. He stated that Obama being always against the war was the biggest fairy tale he ever heard. There was nothing about race.
Obama stands no advantage to bring race up as an issue. He has made ever effort to do precisely the opposite. He is not running on race. Hillary is the one who made the comment. Obama didnt say anything. What is going on with this world.
The only way it is not an advantage is if Obama himself brings it up. But, if his spokesmen bring it up for him, then he is politically correct in saying that he never commented and gains from it. It is simple politics. It only becomes apparent when applied to the commotion caused by Bill Clinton's fairy tale comment which were clearly not racist. People can understand what Hillary intended to say without having the media and the Obama Campaign tell it to them.
Take for instance Obama's frequent references to MLK. MLK is a person in which Obama can neither compare, as of right now, nor rightfully mention in the manner that he has given that he has done few things for Civil Rights, if any. He frequently compares his campaign to the Civil Right movement. That is clearly bringing race into the issue.
You must be a HRC supporter. Obama does not compare himself nor his campaign to MLK. He uses MLK, JFK and others as an example of the amazing things hope can accomplish. "Hope is that thing inside you that insists that there is something better for me if I have the courage to reach for it, work for it, fight for it" Obama was trying to respond to HRCs comment that he is raising false hopes.
I am an HRC supporter, but I'm looking for honest dialogue rather than attacking uselessly. He said that his campaign was the new Civil Rights Movement or that the Civil Rights Movement is happening again or something like that. If I find the speech in which he said it, I will certainly tell you the keywords. He also said in the recent speech that "MLK looking from the Lincoln Memorial said..." He is clearly merging their two causes together.
No he wasn't. The only reason why he brought up MLK is because he was referring back to Hillary Clinton's comment about "false hopes." Barack was just saying that imagine MLK saying to America false hopes.... That's what Barack was refering to.
If running for prez was not about race, then why do the racist libs scout out the so called "black vote"? why isn't it simply called the "American Vote"? It's always been about race, don't fool yourself!
Some of the people on Obama's steering committee have mentioned it. When it came out that one of Hillary's staffers was saying something bad about Obama...THEY FIRED HIM. Is the Obama committee going to fire the people who used race to attack Hillary?
astoundingly simplistic and naive. It's obvious that Obama has nothing to gain from bringing race into this race, and Hillary has a great deal to gain from it.
No one thinks that Bill and Hillary are racist- but it seems clear that they're willing to play on the racism and fear of others in order to win politically.
How exactly are the Clintons playing on racism? Point us to specific examples. The "fairy tale" comment by Bill was in re: BHO's position/s on the Iraq War really being a lot like HRC's. The HRC comment about a Pres. LBJ's law signing the Civil Rights Act being needed to make MLK's dream real is TRUE.
Well Obama has South Carolina to gain, which is significant. The theory would be that if he wins it with some racial persuasion he'll gain the momentum he needs to win the nominee. Obama's campaign is all about momentum (or ahem emotion), so it makes perfect sense.
Well, step back for a moment and see the big picture. Why would Obama want to play the race issue??? He knows that if he would do that, he's not going to be popular with the rest of the country. Clinton, more specifically, Mark Penn knows that if this becomes a race issue, THEY are the ones that would most likely benefit from it. They want to paint Obama as somehow pandering to the black vote, which is what Obama has been trying to avoid all along.
He could be doing it if he wanted to obtain sympathy from South Carolina's black voters. I believe that all politicians are the same and are deceitful to some extent. Hillary's quote about MLK and LBJ might have been dimeaning or misworded, but the commotion from Bill's quote is clearly playing the race card. Politics is filled with lies and that will never change.
Ok. Let me say this. We all know that Hillary isn't perfect and that she can/might be a cunning liar. It is a possibility that she did all this. However, those who say that Obama can't possibly benefit from this are not reading between the lines. On CNN, a guy who I believe represents Obama said that Obama can't bring up such issues and so he has spokesmen do it for him.
Just face the facts, white people don't want another Jesse Jackson and Al SHarpton for president! Therefore, Obama will benefit for playing the race card in South Carolina, but in the long-run white voters will be turned off. So, with that being said, it WILL be a bad move for Obama to play the race card.
Which is more of the reason why I strongly believe that Obama's camp has nothing to do with this race-crap. Hillary said that damn comment about MLK not Obama's camp.
If you saw the debate yesterday, then you probably know that Tim Russert, the host, has already brought up the issue. He told Obama that Clinton was correct and then proceed to show the 4 page essay about Clinton's quotes FROM HIS PRESS SECRETARY. Guess what state the essay was published... Obama kindly regretted that he pushed the issue foward, while the evidence was in front of him. I might be wrong, but Clinton and Obama have put the issue to rest. Maybe we should?
Obama wants it both ways. Appear as a uniter with hope and change AND to use the angle of race to his advantage. It is impossible and is backfiring on him.
So the Clintons are racist just when south carolina is on the horizon? After decades of championing equality for black people, doing so much on civil rights, now they are racist?
the clintons are not racist, but they would do ,start or say anything to win the democratic nomination, i wouldnt be suprised if they use the race card, jst like the fake showing of emotion we saw in NH
Obama has never once mentioned race issue, he's always spoken about uniting everyone. Even in his myspace page, they censor stuff that degrades other candidates. His message is positive. Although Hillary has played up the female card, trust me she's as hard as nails.
"Dr. King's dream began to be realized when President Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It took a president to get it done."
I think she could have re-worded that quote.
Many people interperted this as a down play to the civil rights movement and MLK. I don't think that HRC is racist,I just think that she needs to be careful with her words. Well, she should know by now with her 35 yrs of experience.
"dream began to be realised" I think that's where people were upset because many people in the civil right movement were already being beaten, arrested, ect because of that dream. Also, if you look at history. The ruling two, unsegregate schools it took almost 10 years for people to follow that law. So, in that case, the law did not matter until 10 years later.
Hillary's comments don't take anything away from Dr. King other than implications that he was a legislator. Its asinine and disingenuous to suggest that King could pass Civil Rights legislation on his own-if a conservative president were in power during that movement they would've had to wait another 4 years.
By the way, the Obama campiagn did not bring up the race issue. It was an overwhelming response in the black community that was very upset about the comment that Hillary said about MLK. I know because I was upset myself and everyone else I know.
"Hillary's fire wall would be Hispanic voters in the largest states, such as California and New York. It's one group where going back to the past really works. All you need to say in focus groups is 'Let's go back to the nineties.'... The Hispanic voter—and I want to say this very carefully—has not shown a lot of willingness or affinity to support black candidates."
Thank you! We need to get you your own news show. You are way smarter than 95% of the pundits on the cable news networks.
Barack Obama has said he was going to unite the country yet he has torn apart the Democratic party with baseless charges of racism.

No one thinks that Bill and Hillary are racist- but it seems clear that they're willing to play on the racism and fear of others in order to win politically.
And it's disgusting

Hi TobyRocks:

Well said and so well true!

But then he will lose the white vote because they don't want to hear about all that race stuff!
Crysmarie 4 years ago
NobleKnight23 4 years ago

After decades of championing equality for black people, doing so much on civil rights, now they are racist?
synonys 4 years ago
The clintons are not racist, I am not buying into what the media hype says.
Crysmarie 4 years ago
the clintons are not racist, but they would do ,start or say anything to win the democratic nomination, i wouldnt be suprised if they use the race card, jst like the fake showing of emotion we saw in NH

The whole notion is absurd!

Obama has never once mentioned race issue, he's always spoken about uniting everyone. Even in his myspace page, they censor stuff that degrades other candidates. His message is positive. Although Hillary has played up the female card, trust me she's as hard as nails.

Jpatrick,
Hillary's actual quote on MLK.
Crysmarie 4 years ago
"dream began to be realised" I think that's where people were upset because many people in the civil right movement were already being beaten, arrested, ect because of that dream. Also, if you look at history. The ruling two, unsegregate schools it took almost 10 years for people to follow that law. So, in that case, the law did not matter until 10 years later.

I agree. I'm a huge Hillary supporter, but was stunned and disappointed by that quote :/ It came across as cold and insensitive..very bad move.

Hillary's comments don't take anything away from Dr. King other than implications that he was a legislator. Its asinine and disingenuous to suggest that King could pass Civil Rights legislation on his own-if a conservative president were in power during that movement they would've had to wait another 4 years.
Devin1498 4 years ago
By the way, the Obama campiagn did not bring up the race issue. It was an overwhelming response in the black community that was very upset about the comment that Hillary said about MLK. I know because I was upset myself and everyone else I know.
Crysmarie 4 years ago
Actually if you look on youtube there are clips of Barack Obama surrogates talking about how both Clintons' comments are racist.

Hillary and her campaign are all hypocrites.
One of her pollsters, Sergio Bendixen, tells Ryan Lizza:

Hillary's camp says
"Hillary's fire wall would be Hispanic voters in the largest states, such as California and New York. It's one group where going back to the past really works. All you need to say in focus groups is 'Let's go back to the nineties.'... The Hispanic voter—and I want to say this very carefully—has not shown a lot of willingness or affinity to support black candidates."
