  • that was so criminal

  • The ABC reporter can eat shit. The guy was safe. The baseball term for this kind of play is OLE' !! I don't care if the ump "admitted" he blew call or not. The replay CLEARLY shows the catcher missed the tag. There's a shadow on the pant leg but NO contact.

  • @TomKaren94 how does it feel to be so wrong everyone thinks your a complete dumbass.

  • @TomKaren94 he was out idiototic fool

  • Braves are my fav. team and I remember watching this game last season.. I couldnt believe he called him safe...

  • You know, they actually took another look at it; he did miss him (the call was correct) but it was by a hair.

  • @GooGooBear24 I don't care if they took a look at it or not, you can clearly see Lugo's pants move as his glove swiped across.

  • not like the pirate would have won anyways

  • If you read his lips, While he's signaling that he's safe, he's saying "You missed."

  • idc what anyone says he was safe he missed the tag.. contact on the legs or arm.. great call.. I know you all couldnt do it

  • @barnam5 it was close, but he did get him on the legs. but yeah it was defiantly closer than everyone made it seem

  • @batavia11bulldogs man that was not at all close :) it was just hysterically funny

  • @barnam5 I completely agree

  • anyone wanna run with scissors wit me? don't worry, jerry meals said it's safe

  • HES OUTTA THERE!

  • 19 innings, 19 losing seasons. being a pirates fan is alway going to be this way.

  • Did anyone notice the angle from second where the catcher missed Lugo by about an inch? There is a reason they are called the "Succos".

  • @BBall0027 and hey fuckhead look at :44. contact is made, hes out

  • @BBall0027 suck my dick faggot

  • I'm completely impartial and if it's down to whether his foot was inside the white line when the catcher's glove touches him then I've got to say it's a very close call. I don't think any one camera angle tells the story even with the slow mo. There's one angle that shows when they touched but not the guy's foot and you can only guess on the other two, with bias you could go either way. Probably the best place to judge was where the official was and that was in real time so I think he did ok

  • that call killed our season. that's the reason the 19th losing season came about

  • i just realized the batter tripped while running out of the box lol. but obviously a terrible call. but nothing was worse than jim joyce's 9th inning call, 2 outs garalarga's perfect game call. because that was a clear out too.

  • he was soooooooooooooooo out

  • Im a die hard braves fan and i love to see them win, but not like this. i'd like to think we still would have won that one. but in the end we choked when it mattered and didnt play in october.

  • how can you people say there was no tag its clear in every angle

  • 0:35 How can you... HE CALLED HIM SAFE How can you end... YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME JERRY MEALS

  • Don't care either way, but the catcher missed the tag. 99% of the time it's called out anyway.

  • He was out, that is all there is to it. For those of you that say there was no tag, put some glasses on. I am sure he was just tired and bored after 19 innings but that was an easy call.

  • He is out, there is no questions, from any angle, he missed this call pure and simple.

  • safe, no tag

  • @1896danr lol obvious Braves fan is obvious.

  • @TriangleInterMission haha actually im a red sox fan, i just didnt and still dont see a clean tag

  • @1896danr might wanna get your eyes checked then. Even the ump admitted after the game admitted he missed the call.

  • meals was right

  • that was completeli inexcusable, he clearli saw the play, n still calls him safe, its proof that this guy wanted to go home, so he did it unpurposeli, he should be fired for that

  • @slapshot68 lmao you couldn't even tell there was a tag from his angel or any other angel for that matter.

  • crystal clear its not crystal clear, what is clear is a swip tag that may of got him you can't tell from any angel if he got hit or not. period he only admit after a couple days later, as an umpire yuo move on and who gives a rats butt? seriously you miss calls its part of the game he miss some next year as well. he a human after all. but this is NOT CRYSTAL CLEAR.

  • @critter2 agreed

  • @CAChrisAnthony just got morons who think they perfect and can make any calls no matter if they never set a foot on a baseball field

  • 0:22 wtf? he was out by ten feet!

  • @katzinhatz1 just cause the ball beat him DOES NOT MAKE SOMEONE OUT. i had a ball beat a runner and the catcher tag with his glove NOT THE BALL. GUESS WHAT HE WAS "SAFE."

  • I am A catcher. And if they teach you anything. It is make a solid tag. He had enoff time to get his body over and block the plate or hit the runner. Yeah he was out but barely nicked. And obviously did not look so the home ump

  • "i had to man up and do the right thing" you mean fuck up his perfect game bitch?

  • @ripsweety007 he means admit he was wrong, idiot

  • @TheTrooper112 no shit dumbass i was using sarcasm "idiot"

  • @ripsweety007 the only idiot is you who scream and say he fucked up a call than comes back saying sarcasm you cant tell sarcasm online you fucking moron

  • @critter2 shut the fuck up dumbass he did make a bad call and you should know sarcasm. like right now bitch gtfo my dick. blocked cunt.

  • @ripsweety007 dumbass tell me how the fuck someone is suppose to find scarasm over online you peice of shit human life.... what a waste of a human

  • @ripsweety007 not a bad call miss it, i doubt you could do any better you fucking moron

  • @ripsweety007 I didn't know sarcasm worked over a text comment

  • @TheTrooper112 he should admit that he wanted to punch out his time clock n go home. this is complete lazyness, not a mistake

  • @slapshot68 this not lazy this is a miss call it happens you morons who think this is lazy who the one who has the equiement on who the one running up and down? who the one sitting on your ass... oh wait your sitting on your ass so in theory you are the lazy one who has never ever umpire a game behind the plate. put your money where you mouth is.

  • @ripsweety007 really he didn't fucked it up, he just miss a call, just like you miss a question you may of known. you get over it.

  • do we already know where his house is ?

  • most of you are out of your minds. You have hindsight, not to mention several different slow motion looks of the play. If you can sit there and tell me in real time you would have called the runner safe, I'll call you a liar.

  • what a fucking biased news story,

  • @kanyeezy24 no doubt about that, i am not sure what the hell there watching...

  • Pretty horrible tag at home plate. Just a glance if that

blame the catcher too he has to make it obvious

  • I CALL BULLSHIT HE WAS OUT I CALL BULLSHIT HE WAS OUT I CALL BULLSHIT HE WAS OUT

  • he mad the right call the glove never touched the player

  • OK: i didnt see the glove crinkle OR didnt see the pants react to a tag. not sayin he didnt tag him, but i cant tell for sure. no one can. there is a reason he called him safe, dont forget the camera is 200 ft away, the ump is 2.

i hate the media tho for makin umpires seem so bad, and how he is ABSOLUTELY wrong. no way to tell FOR SURE. end of story

  • @trojanman2406 but the umpire admitted he was wrong.

  • I'm still not convinced it touched him.

  • Lol this sent the pirates on a downward spiral to mediocrity.

  • he did touch him. but even if he didnt, if the throw beats him by that much and the runner's initial slide doesnt even reach the base you call him out.

  • look a lugo after he slides in. he knows hes out but when hes called safe hes like holy shit! ok ill take it

  • Pittsburgh has never been the same since this call, which is a fucking shame because i really wanted to see the Pirates get their first winning record in 20 years

  • I live in PIttsburgh, I love my city, and I hated that this play/call seem to crush the Pirates and the momentum they had going in the first half of the season. But, I have to tell you: I'm not sure he touched him! I had not seen this play until today (and I expected to see a totally bonehead/wrong call), but I don't see the catcher ever making contact with the runner (at any angle in slow motion). LOL. That's just being honest.

  • @coreystewart55, just shut up. I was watching the game. he was clearly out. This was the worst call in MLB History

  • ads suck ads suck ads suck ads suck ads suck ads sukc

  • hes out...just sayin?

  • I actually can see how he made this call. even in slow motion, it's hard to even tell if he made the tag. it lloks like it, but if look even closer, he may not have tagged his leg. it looked like it brushed over without making contact.

  • The people below me are idiots!

  • @coreystewart55 He didn't neccesarilly make the tag!!!! it isn't clear!

  • It's not clear! I wouldn't be surprised if he was safe!

  • he didnt touch him

  • @donnyisballin3 hes out he barely touch the home plate
