  • What do you mean "average joe"? You look like you could bench press a medium sized economy car, and those things are kinda heavy. You look like you could punch someone into a different date. You look like you could impregnate a woman with a sly look.

Basically, you look like you could beat Chuck Norris in a arm wrestling match

  • brah

  • Yeah dude I love my D7000 too! I recently upgraded from the D80 so I took a huge step up. I shoot for magazines in Dallas and really love the D7000's range. Im still learning the HD but love it!

  • fucking a u are huge

  • awesome videos, i like your style keep it up

  • Interested in selling that d5000 ?

  • Don't ever grow up man. It's harder to have fun!! I love my D7k.

  • Dude, get an older lens thatll let you set a manual aperture..check out the 50mm 1.8, itll let you manually set the aperture..use like f4-f8 and you should be able to move back and forth without going out of focus

i bought my d90 like a week before the d7000 was released haha, damn.

  • @KodieMacIntyre I was using a 35MM 1.8 using aperture priority for 1.8. I just wanted to demonstrate the autofocus in live mode. But in reality its better to just manual focus like you said. You are right the lower apertures would allow a larger depth of field. Thanks! I for some reason always thought higher aperture would have been better, but that causes small depth of field. Or did I get this backwards? LOL!

  • @phonedork higher number = larger depth of field (more in focus)

  • @phonedork

    higher aperture = smaller(physically) aperture = larger depth of field;

lower number aperture = larger (physically) aperture = shallower depth of field

  • The D7000 was considered the best available prosumer DSLR camera ever by kenrockwell. I have also purchased it (body only) and cant await until its here. I dont like that 18-105 kit lens very much, I think Im gonna buy a used Nikkor 18-200 VR II at eBay. The D7000 was 1050 EUR at eBay. The lens is about 350 EUR.

  • @STRUMICH I want that same lens to! 18-200 is a awesome range!

  • @phonedork

It is really good (for amateurs) and you can keep it on all the time, no need for lens changes anymore. I recommend the new VR II model as it has a "creeping stopper". The previous model tends to zoom out and that can be very annoying. But its the complete same technology.

  • @STRUMICH fuck ken rockwell

  • "I'm like a kid, I'm like a kid!" LOL! That was cute. I know how you feel when you want something so bad and you're hoping the credit card doesnt fail you!

  • @1brokengirl LOL! Yea I am pretty childish! I think that will never change, and I am 36 years old still acting this way! :-D

  • LOL.. you just so funny man.. you're right!

me too man.. I was very impression mine Nikon D7000 at last week day one. And you can't compete with any other brands like Canon, I guess D7000 is the best mid-range DSLRs in the market. I love mine when I photoshoot with D7000 I feels like pro this is good choice...

  • Dude you're stoked...that EXACTLY how I felt too

  • @JiggerBooWigger I sure am!!!! There is so much more to this camera that I never even talked about. Coming from using the D5000, I would say that even though this camera is not for beginners, I find it rather easier to navigate then the D5000 for quick settings, and the D5000 was catered more for beginners. Holding a button and turning a dial is easier then going to the menu and selecting from there like the D5000. I hope your having a blast like I am! Just sooo stoked!!!

  • The tax was returning it in San Diego!

In OR they have a Fry's store out of Portland. A long way out. I have holidayed in Portland 3 times (par due to no sales tax), Again, American buses let me down. Stopped running from the Fry's store location at Wilsonville at 5pm! Fry's staff said no taxis! I found one in yellow pages. Russian driver. Got lost trying to find a bus station in a neighboring town, so drove me all the way to Portland, really talkative, charged me as if for a ten minute ride

  • Can anyone hear some noise coming from the camera while it auto focuses from 7.18 - 7.30

  • @thumelen Yea it does make a sound when it autofocuses. However if you were to use a microphone instead then you can avoid the noise.

  • @phonedork Do you know if you can adjust the recording level manually like on the Canon 60D, or is it auto level?

  • @thumelen I have noticed this with the Sony A33 and A55 models, too. Noise wise a lot seems to be dependent on what budget of lens you go for. The Nikon makes an additional slight clunk noise, I noticed in footage, over the Sony. Focusing manually would of course stop that problem but I like the idea of the external mic socket and going for a quality mic at a later date.

  • @OnceAPunAThyme thx for the heads up

  • definitely looked like a retarded doing that lol.

  • @BIGGGY305 I know! LOL!

  • @BIGGGY305 When I have mine, Im sure I will look like a happy chimp and I dont feggin care if folks might think I was a retarded

  • Current shortlist is D7000 or Panasonic Lumix GH2. The former with 50mm F1.4 lens, if I can stretch to it. The Canon 50mm F1.4 is staggeringly sharp in Rebel T2i video footage and I know that Nikon is sharp, too. Would be good to hear any further thoughts. Meantime, having won in the queue in Best Buy, enjoy your purchase!

  • Enjoyed your Best Buy story, sounded almost as manic as a story I could tell of returning a camera that I'd bought at Frys in Portland OR to a Fry's store in San Diego (auto focus 'hunted' too much). Boy does America have a patchy public transport system! I was broke, was running along dark streets to get back to the store in time; first trip I didn't have the right paperwork for a refund; the second trip, just made it, before closing but got someone unsympathetic to refunding me, touch and go!

  • @OnceAPunAThyme The cool thing about Oregon was there is no sales tax!!!!!

  • you shouldnt smoke

  • @JogBird You are absolutely right! I am trying!
