Thanks for your critique. It's always an honor to know that I got an emotional reaction from an audience member.

So, I'm guessing that in order to be first-rate, the political commentary needs to reinforce your political views and make you feel good about yourself. Gosh, I guess I'll just have to try harder next time. In the meantime, just remember that this is all escapist sci-fi nonsense with no bearing on reality, and then return to your regularly scheduled programming. :-)

And your guess is wrong. I imagine my politics are indeed to the right of yours, but that doesn't matter. If you really want me to define first-rate commentary, let's start with "It doesn't just repeat talking points." Bush messed up bigtime, you say?  You're not the first, nor best, to advance the thesis. Air your views, but try writing something I haven't heard daily for the last six years. As for my "emotional reaction," if the one you were looking for was disappointment...well, A-plus.
