our band has gotten way better than it was last year in my opinion

new world symphony was way more complicated than this show and we still did amazing

i think have a great chance next year of going to state and actually placing.

seriously i think we are pretty good... at least we have gotten better but we were good back then... lol we had some trouble getting on our feet most definitly the trumpet section, but im trying out for DM next year and i really hope i have the honor to lead us back to state next year... but this time we will place

u guys r really good. i'm in a jr high school band myself. but we only do marching, guard, stuff like that. go ejh!! =] we went into competition a few years ago and we heard a high school texas band and they were really good!! they almost beat us.

Really good. We played this last year too, but our drill was majorly different. The first movement was a bunch of swirly stuff and the second was... idk and the third movement was completely straight line and block stuff. Our second movement was longer too. We had the whole band playing the melody section after the clarinet solo (flute soli in yours) and a flute and trumpet duet.

Okay, In a nutshell, anyone who had anything bad to say, you arent judges, if we made it to fifth in state, I have to say we MUST be pretty awesome, seeing as Texas is a huge state.

Our band was built on pride, and we have alot of it. We also have arrogance, which could be our downfall, but for now were coming out on top, so uhm no offense but your comments seem worthless because we worked so hard to get where we are.

Try playing it in San Antonio during a Texas hot spell and see how you do. They placed in the top five at State which my alma mater, Queen City High School place first. I am proud of them. Anahuac has produced more fantastic musicians then most schools dream of.

No offense, but this band isn't great. I'm in 7th grade and our 7th/8th grade band can play it better. GO SOUTH BRUNSWICK!!!

Our high school's marching band is bigger (180 people) and they are number 2 in NJ!!!

U can ask anybody From Queen City (the state marching band) and they will tell You that we were pretty good. Not to say they werent. They were awesome. U may think your all bad. All 180 of you but trust me Anahuac will PWN your pathetic band anyday of the week.

OMG!!!!!!! We did Fate of the Gods and Vesuvius for our show last year, and this brings back SOOOOOOOOOOO many memories!!! I LOVED our show to this music.....*tear* gosh i miss it....

actually to be honest they were not that good. I was part of the band that this was specially arranged for in Skiatook Oklahoma. The sets that were used worked a lot better than the ones that this band used for this show.

Well...Without any offense intended,

Our Band director is a very good director and does a good number of shows for other bands in our region.

Maybe its opinion, but I do know that doing all of those sets during a very hot summer while lugging around a bass drum, plus factoring in how many kids pulled 2-a-days for athletics, I think it went fairly well.

But my opinion is a bias opinion,

Because I marched in that show.

I also was doing 2-a-days for football while during summer band from 8-4 for two weeks in August. I do agree that it might have been harder for you because of your bass drum. Your drum break sucked balls. It was to original. If you guys made it more onteresting you might have made a better score.
