@donna7179 hi, thanks for the comment. Never hurts to fly around a storm for sure, i filmed on trip to Darwin and caught the lightening hitting the wing, just an average flight I guess in Storm season.

u think this is bad? i flew 4 hours from brisbane to darwin (on a A320) and it stormed the whole way (even know we were 37,000ft high, it was during the 2008 Brisbane Summer Storms

@broncos4life123 it wasn't the storm that was bad it was the screaming kid and the fact we had to sit on a plane when we landed. I can imagine the storm though you must have had, would have been good to get some turbulence on video. :-) thanks for the comment.

@broncos4life123 That's wierd, im pretty sure pilots are supposed to find an alternate route to prevent flying through a storm. And 37,000 feet for a 4 hour flight is a bit high.

Weather changes very quickly. Airports get shut down because of weather. Its not uncommon. So, how is this Jetstar's fault? I can guarantee Jetstar werent the only airline held at bay by the weather.
