  • Imaginez s'il avait vécu 80 ans... Mais Dieu en a garder un peu pour lui...

Imagine if he had lived 80 years ... But God has kept a little for him ...

  • this im my faveriot pice by mozart. and his requiem mask is my all time favroit opera.

not to say that his requiem mask was his darkest opera, and is to this day one of the darkest operas ever wirten

  • dad told me u can hear the anger in mozart

    omg he's right

    amazing :D

  • Deep religious touch...

pineclassics, com provides this album in low price.

  • Good performance, but still prefer Gardiner by far. Much more simple and well defined. Truly pure and divine like I've never heard.

The voices in the fugue [Kyrie] are much better pronounced and articulated.

  • Sublime!

  • Classic. Beyond commenting.

  • I must say the tempo is very wobbly at the beginning. Are the woodwind parts marked "ad lib?" Shame.

  • Yes this is truly a great performance..So stately!!

  • hermoso a mas de un nivel deleite

  • A Világot komolyzenei hallgatók fogják tönkre tenni, a headsettjükkel hátradőlve.

  • @11011011011100110 English please

  • Such amazing dynamic range - was any form of enhancement used in transcribing this recording from 1956 to YouTube?

  • Superb!

  • Karajan works too like his 1976 recording is awsome, but this is good too. I find this one a bit more connected to death, at least this part of it ti be honest. Karajan would be my first choice, but they are very similar.

  • Mozart Requiem is best interpreted by Bruno Walter. No one comes close to him. It's so divine. I cry silently inside of me each time I hear it, but only from maestro Walter.

  • sighs noding

  • @freeqwerqwer Couldn't agree more! I literally browsed dozen of different interpretations of the Requiem until I finally found this one.... And I love it!

  • @freeqwerqwer While I do love Walter's interpretation, I feel Bernstein did the piece more justice. Perhaps given that he dedicated his version to his late wife.

  • Germany??? Noooo ... Austria, man!!

  • Es fenomenal y punto

  • mozart? What an odd name! wonder where it came from?

  • Germany.

  • Very nice perfomance!
