This is my first experience to listen to Noor Jehan with out music, I am amazed and flabbergasted and visualising those moments of ecstasy when I was having a one to one and only meeting with Noor Jehan fourty years ago. May God bless her and rest her soul in heaven. (16th April 2011)
Great..great...great...pity she left out...Jism nikle hooey imraz ke tannooron se..peep bahti hooi galte hooey nasooron se..even then it is still great...congratultions to youtube preserving it and making it a historical piece..Dr. Zaidi
no music, no instruments. no beat, still amazingly mesmerizing. can our todays gen of singers sing without music, just hear them once you will wonder why they call themselves singers. this is singing. with out any instruments all moods is crystal in your mind. i wish our young lot learns music and singing.
Comparing different styles of music and then concluding one is better than the other is really nonsense. Understand that just you can not compare Mozart with Nusrat Fateh Ali or a rock band like Janoon with Iqbal Bano. Some styles of music are very vocal in nature while others are based on instruments. Even within a genre it is all personal preference otherwise there wouldn't be so many artists and their band of followers. Just enjoy what you like without denigrating those that you don't.
In the live versions as well as in the studio versions, for some reason she omits the most graphic and perhaps the most powerful couplet in the entire poem.
once i heard Madam on FM89 n since then i m wishing 2 hear her just once again n unexpectidly i found her here... thx Buddy 4 uploading it in such a beautiful (memory)melodious way... Madam does not need any instrument! wht a voice! thx again!!!
yes, it's obvious there's no instrumental music for support. That's what makes a properly trained and practiced singer a gem even without any instruments.
