In the United States, most schools are closed in the summer. This is because children in farm communities historically were expected to be working in the fields during this busy season on the farms. Today, few Americans are farmers, yet the ones who are still employ their children whenever possible. Having grown up on a farm, and having worked there as a child, I heartily agree with having children learn work at an early age.
If the people owned their own fields, as opposed to being subsistence laborers for private plantationists, they could have a chance at building surplus and reducing hours necessary for children.
Until those who work own, exploitation will be the obvious and only result.
No one should steal the value of another's work because he holds a piece of paper saying he can.
i am learning about child labour in school i wish it didnt happen childen work all day but for so little and they dont get to go to school or have fun its so sad my heart goes out to all those poor countries <3
wow american kids work alot harder at skool and no one complains about that. these kids are luky they get to be outside and sleep from 7-4, compared to american kids who are stuck inside all day and sleep for 4 hours cause they study and do homework at night
This is the 21th century and nothing has change, we still use child labor and fight in Wars.
Why are we not Evolving? Life looks different from history, but if you look we are still the same. Time to make a change, we can start by Standing for an Equaly Money System for AlL.
really informative and I'm grateful to know more about the life of children and families. How come these problems have never been solved... The people who were in the position to make a difference didn't take action.
thanks for this video, very informative, a practical solution is to change our current money system into an EQUAL Mony System, means everybody get a basic income for saving our basic needs - in a City in Namibia they have it already since 2008 and it works great - they call it the BIG-Project look here -
Whats worse, working too much or like american kids not knowing how to work at all? We wouldn't have an illegal imigration problem if we let our kids work here. Our kids are soft, theirs are hard. Maybe there is a happy medium somewhere.
