Yes, mono simply means in your script editor you tick the box called "mono" to enable the use of the mono compiler/runtime to enable your scripts to run faster. Everything still uses the LSL, it's just an optional checkmark that helps make scripts run faster.
Of course a maze generator is probably the most extreme example they could have selected - the average, well optimized script will probably not see a huge difference - but it's still pretty impressive and a nice enhancement. The extra memory especially is going to be glorious.
I bought the LSL book now I see this . Question, is it still worth my time reading the LSL book?
