This kind of music can be used for evangelization, not in the Holy Liturgy, The Holy Mass have their own rules and specific music. Here in Southamerica, specially in Brasil, we have a lot of catholic rock bands like Eterna, Uniao, Rosa de Saron. The music is a very important tool for evangelization, for share the Gospel of Christ. Pacem Domine.

@Jwitkowski1 There's nothing technically wrong with listening to secular music. Often, secular music has a more powerful message than Christian music. I'd rather listen to bands that present a moral solution to a problem than to bands that bash nonbelievers.

In my opinion, listening to the bands you listed isn't necessarily wrong or sinful. As long as they don't have anti-Christian themes, you shouldn't have to worry. I listen to lots of secular music, but that doesn't make me any less saved.
