  • Beautiful! just Beautiful!!!

  • Probably my favorite Andy Williams song. In the video, I love the over 40 different images used, and I appreciate how much effort went into collecting them. I’m working on a video that requires 87 images, only a third of which were available from the Web. The rest I had to create myself. I also like how you faded from one image to another, rather than use all the fancy (and annoying) types of dissolves available in video editing programs. Great song. Great video. Thanks for posting it!

  • One word PERFECT .

  • There will never be an equal . . .Thank you Andy, for ALL the great music . . . I sure wish I could find a Lonely street ....

  • I and several of my friends owned copies of this Andy Williams LP, back in the day. We used to call it "the most depressing album in the world", but we loved it and listened to it over and over. This song especially is so beautiful, and the images you selected for the video are sheer perfection. Thanks so much for posting it -- what a lovely, wistful memory!

  • I could listen to this song forever. Andy is the best.

  • Sometimes I thnk I liv on "Lonely Street" because the one I love is I can't have.

  • The audio quality here is beyond stupendous.

  • Superb choice of images.

  • My Mother's favorite song. Thank you.

  • Beautiful song , thank you !

  • Beautiful images for this sad and lonely song!

  • We had this record when I was a child. There's a street called Loney Street in Northeast Philadelphia that runs into the suburban community of Rockledge, ends at the entrance to a cemetery, and then picks up again on the other side in Abington Township. Every time I see it, I read it as Lonely Street and think of this song!

  • I listen to this song after my brother Steve passed away.. I miss him so badly. I love this song.. I want to find the lonely street to weep.. so I could let out all my grieve...

thank you for sharing the song... Where is this place call Lonely Street?

  • @smartj26 I agree with you. Perry Como is great too. I love his "Just Out of Reach of My Two Empty Arms" but can't find it anywhere.

  • @fred35ify I"m sorry you're lonely.Hope things get better. I think we all have been there at one time or another, especially after the loss of a loved one, or after the loss of a relationship.

  • een mooie vertolking van deze song misschien wel de allerbeste

  • I haved lived on Lonely Street now for over 26 months and still no end to the end the street.

  • What a beautiful song. The violins in the background are heavenly, I have always loved this song Andy Williams has a unique voice. No one else sounds like him. Just like Jim reeves. No one else sounds like him either. I was only 13 when this came out and loved it then and still love it now.

  • One of the purest voices in music.

  • I have lived on lonely street for 40 years.

  • ...a great version of this wonderful song....perhaps the best...!

  • I also love The Everly Brothers version of this song.

  • My favorite song sung by the master crooner!

  • Lord what a voice, what a song!

  • Nice video accompaniment. One of my favorites by an unappreciated talent. Songs like this make me young again. Thanks.

  • @bawdybill Mee too buddy, I am 59 and but feel 29

  • When it comes to versatility, Andy Williams is the best of the great easy-listening popular singers. Other singers could swing better (Sinatra, Mel Torme) or do the blues more convincingly (Ray Charles) or sing a big ballad with more drama (Englebert Humperdinck), but Williams had an uncanny knack for taking songs of the late 50's, 60's, and early 70's and creating versions that were just as good or better than the originals. A fabulous singer with a great voice and marvelous technique.

  • @MrJimmieriggs Yes he is.....One of the lst real crooners a much better voice than Sinatra ever had1

  • he is one of the best - perry como is another master

  • He was only 32 when he did this? The more I learn about Williams, the more convinced I am that he is one of the finest pure vocalists in American history. This is just phenominal singing.

  • @Squirrlyburt :

I agree...he has near perfect pitch. Like Vince Gill.

  • ...really pretty version...!

  • I LOVE your pictures! I am always in search of pictures that depict empty streets, especially those dimly lit by street lamps. There is such loveliness in everyday sights such as these. Where did you find them? Or did you take them yourself?

  • Beautiful song! Andy was one of the best!

  • Beautiful version. Andy Wiliams at his best.

  • This is for all the "Lonely People". Where do they all come from?! "Only the Lonely" know where this place is at!!

  • @brownhorse98 Yes! It is a very poignant song and sung so very fucking well

  • I'm a real "Lonely Boy" at times. This song Is for all the "Lonely People." Where do they all come from?! "Only the Lonely" truly know!!
