You see you got to know about Tajiks before you talk about them. They are the Paktrian/Bactrian People just like Pashtuns. Pashtuns call themselfs Aoghan and They speak Pakhun/Pashtun/Paktrian/Bactrian, whatever. Pashtuns are are Avestian speaking people, and Dari is also a Pakrtian/Bactrian language. Yeah I know your talking before Mongolian invasion but remember that Mongolian land had had become a dry land and they were looking for a place most of them settled in Uzbekistan, Kazakistan, Tajikistan, etc. BTW there were no records of Uzbeks before Mongolians, and Aryans were the only one there and later as u said many Scythians and other groups also came to Uzbekistan.

Thanx for pointing that out, I know she speaks Uzbeki her great-great-great-Grandfather have lived in this Land, Every Tajik (10-15%) must know how to speak Uzbeki/Russian. What you think the Uzbek people would let them speak whatever they want NO. Uzbeks promote Uzbeki they even tell Russians to speak Uzbeki if they live in Uzbekistan even if everything is written in Russian. I have been to Taskent, And what i loved about it was that it was very clean and light.
