my all time favourite movie, a timeless classic, i watch it today and everything about it is so fresh, must have seen it at least 100 times, this movie is smth special.
It's hard not to laugh a little when I see Jackson articulating his appreciation for this movie. All I keep hearing is him saying, "Dayumm Negro! That's All You Had To Say!"
I never thought Samuel L. Jackson would be this cool for some reason.
He seems like a highly intelligent and professional individual. When he was talking about eating with Quentin and talking about obscure films and cartoons, it made me envious as fuck.
I beg to differ, Samuel. Although not quite as bad as Snakes on a Plane, this movie was a confusing ball of goo that amounts to nothing. I guess if I were on crack it might be mildly funny (but I doubt it) --so much for audience specific. But I agree that it was a major stepping-stone...for a pathetic industry that only produces films for vulgar lust.
sure it was a hard scene to watch but as a critique you should be appreciating the whole movie and not just the grotesque of the scene (which in my opinion was amazingly thought out )
maybe back than in 1990 it was a bit unorthodox but come on perceptiveness is what people who judge films need to have and not actors
@2109917162 no not star wars . star trek it is , leonard fucking nimoy it is . what the fuck is this . why the hell im talking like this , but in all seriousness greenmile and shawshank can be ? but what the hell i'll go for lakeview terrace
I found this novel called The Suicide Game that feels like a Tarantino movie and even has a character that seems to be Tarantino himself. It features a black hitman, a murderous priest, and a gay phone sex operator. I downloaded it for free at smashwords . com and it was awesome.
There is no best film of all time. That kind of comparative analytic is from a bygone era. You, the person, who may or may not have a degree of sophistication when it comes to film art, either loves or dislikes a film. But if it makes you sleep good at night, go ahead and rank movies. One of my favorites is a film called "Elling". Wonderfully acted and great story. Has it ever made a top ten list or anything? No, it hasn't. Does that make me angry? No and why should it?
Has he memorized this story ?? It's practically the same as when he talked about it on 'Inside the actors studio', word for word. Or did someone ask him to repeat that anecdote because they thought it sounded interesting ?
@razorsharpandonpoint By now if im right we are just humoring eachother and listing the greatest films of all time instead of arguing what is the best so since mine has already been said: No. Star Wars is.
@Hallinilla9 It's unbelievably great, but not the best of all time. And I think not the best of the year of it's release, but definitely one of the best. Critics are lovin' it, but critics don't make movies, they don't have any idea of how the film process works.
One does simply not say what one more time!
