Yup. Id love to see you attempt those sports and see how well you do. They take years and years of training. Try bobsledding down olympic slopes with no skill at all and you wind up dead. Actually try skiing with the speed and precision required and you would probably crack your neck. Oh, and lets not forget snowboarding half pipe. Yes, so easy.

The Cowbells are used as a form of cheer, because the weather is so cold during the event the spectators wear gloves or mittens, problem is because they're wearing gloves their applause is muffled and not very loud.

Thus it became a tradition with Alpine Skiing competitions to cheer on athletes with cowbells, usually certain cowbells would create a certain tune to cheer on a specific athlete.

I know I'm a smart ass but hey I loved the Winter Olympics, especially the Ice Hockey

The Olympics in general are a massive waste of time.

I don't watch sports but if I did I'd be perfectly capable of picking one I want to watch rather than go for the nationalistic grab bag.

I'm Canadian and honestly I don't give a shit about the games, I don't know who won what but god damn it I can't help but know that my country has proven it is better than any other country at a winning certain asinine games the exact nature of which I don't care to know.

The summer games are no better.

The Winter Olympics is FREAKING AWESOME. Cow Bells are awesome and were being given away free. Australians will become a force in Snowboarding, mark my words. A lot of the Winter Sports are also indoors. Allowing them to be played more regularly than many of the summer games.

I used to not understand curling. I get it now. It takes a lot of skill and discipline. Also, Ice Hockey is not a sport for the faint of heart.

Even if it's a joke, this skit really has no basis in reality.

Just because Australia is a general fail at the Winter Olympics doesn't mean it's bullshit. Curling is a true sport - of the mind basically - but a sport none-the-less. Don't knock it til you try it.

I was just thinking this about the speed skating last night. Why do they need three people on each team. I would understand if the all skated at their own pace but they all just skate directly behind eachother. Surely you could go faster without someone 2mm in front and behind you... Speedskating is a little bit bullshit :)
