@Kainthemain What I meant: I see so many men, not being able to say they are afraid. They do their show and I know behind their façade is fear. They would rather hurt people than stand to the fact, that they are afraid. Because they think they have to play the role of what a man is. And if Rocky, who really stands for manhood, can admit, that he is afraid, all the other stupid posers should be able to do so too :)
A Swiss politician also left stupid role playing behind: watch?v=lBeLCDTPs8o
That's a good wife man...They loved each other and had a "real story line" man who wrote this stuff?...This is really excellent stuff. This really was a continuing story. Rocky & Adrianne forever. Theyr'e absolutely beautiful as a couple. Man! the power of movies!!!!
out of 6 movies this is the best bit. rocky was nothing without adrian she knew him by far the best acting in the movies too. my goodness how young is sly?
I dont think a lot of people appreciate the psychological struggle of this movie. Rocky was dominated in fight #1, and he's terrified. Not only terrified, but feeling empty without Mickey. I always get chills during the clips where he hears the announcers saying "Rocky's been cut!" I think everyone knows that fear in some relative way or another. Find the Eye of the Tiger, kids. Face your fears and give it your all.
28 years ago today I took my eventual bride on our first date to see "Rocky III" My life at the time was not good. I was hurt and afraid. Sue saved my ass. She wouldn't let me go down the tubes "How'd you get so tough" Today we go to see our second grandchild's birth. A great way to celebrate a love affair that continues to grow day after day. ....Sue, Sue
she is a good woman most of them would have in todays throw away society, taken his money and kid and left him with child support payments, child care payments, he would pay all insurance, she would get half of his retirement, housing assistance, food stamps, free schooling, and whatever visatation she wanted even though he spent his life fighting to improve both of their lives and courts would allow it all under the guise of the childrens best interests lmao.
This is from my favorite Rocky movie, but I'd have to disagree about Rocky Balboa not having the same heart. The whole focus of the movie was the loss of Adrian. He was angry that he lost her and he didn't know what to do. Also, he gives his kid some great guidance in the film. The only issue with the movie was the person he fought had no personality or character development, which was enough to knock the movie down a peg from being one of the top movies. Nothing beats Mr. T.
Yes, the focus may have been on the fact that Adrian was no longer there, but there was nothing to tie it in together. I don't know how to explain it but it just seemed too fragmented. Even if they had a scene where the new fighter called Rocky washed up and maybe even attacked Adrian posthumously, then it would have been like, "ok". But you just throw two random guys together and expect me to care about the outcome. It doesn't work that way.
I absolutely love Rocky! This is my fave scene from all of the movies. Adrian helped to make these movies so great. They would not have been as big as they were without her and that is why "Rocky Balboa" wasn't a good finale to me. One, because Adrian wasn't there. Two, because there was no real passion or motivation as in the other films. It just seemed thrown together to me.
I agree. Stallone did a great film but it seemed more like a separate sequel franchise based on Rocky characters. Adrian wasn't just the voice nagging at him, she was his heart. Rocky Balboa was all pride and no heart. Back to breaking bones for a living. They might as well made his manager the guy who worse sunglasses in the first movie when Mickey was calling Rock a bum. That's exactly what he'd think about Rock and the whole fiasco. Its all about how hard family can take hits... together!
OMG this was the scene that did it for me! She was so strong for her husband. My best friend had to confront her husband in the same way, same manner for a diffrent cause and this reminded me of that encounter she had with him. Thank you for posting this very inspiraitional i want to be able to be there for my spouse like ADRIAN when the time presents itself.
You talk to a person with deep depression and all is fine. Hollywood!!!!

Great pivotal scene. Rocky was there for her in Rocky II and she was there for him when he was down. A strong message about confronting your fears.
