I was watching the Patriot League title game that year and they said Holy Cross was a huge favorite and Bucknell beat them and they looked great with all the right pieces to pull an upset so I picked them to win and they sure enough did while all my friends watching with me that day had Kansas in the final four LOL

the heart breaker for me, as a diehard Kansas fan, about this game is that it was too early an ending to great careers for Simien, Langford, Lee & Miles. This was after seeing heart breaking losses in 02 to Maryland in the Final 4 & in 03 to Syracuse too. I was so glad that we managed to win the championship in 08.

It's amazing how people still bring up this game. I have been over this game for a very long time. The 2008 national title erased all of the bad memories that happened to Kansas throughout the years. Not even a Northern Iowa loss brought those memories back up. Talk about UNI all you want, but Bucknell and Bradley are ancient history.

I was at that game because Oklahoma State played in the first game of the double-header.

At first, I think most of the crowd was cheering for KU since they're a Big 12 team and the audience was probably 80 percent OSU fans, but as the game went on, Bucknell's effort won a lot of people over.

Watching Wayne Simien got the ball at the free throw line, I think almost everyone in the arena expected him to hit that turnaround. What a game. Probably one of the biggest shocks of my life.
