We had a grey chicken like yours but it was attacked by our cockrel for looking 'strange' i.e. not like the others. We gave her to a neighbour as she would not come out of the chicken house. Would like some more but it's a no go...
A fully charges deep cycle battery will run the fence for at least a month. We charge the battery either on the main solar array or with the small generator.
You need a few wetbacks they would have that thing built in five minutes but i dont think they have them in Alaska.
