Good luck with the new S60 and hopefully for everybody at Volvocars Gent things won't work out the same way as Opel in Belgium. If the salespersons at Volvo get the right support and explanations about the Volvo/Geely deal (if there is one) it will be much easier to sell the cars in their showrooms.
You can't blame Volvo for breathing life into their brand. I can make a statement like "everyone wants a more fun car" but it's easy to counter that argument when in reality, it's true. It's human nature to desire something exciting and bold. That's what Volvo is doing here.
The generations of yesteryear may drive cars to get to 9-5 jobs and back, but the younger audience desires more. If Volvo wants to be around 20-30 years later they have to buy our attention as well. Nice job with this.
you are right JOJO.... but I guess they will improve it. I have a manual T5 (260hp) so it is sportive. I just hate the whining noise of the geartronic...
It's a traditional Japanese cat statue called "Maneki-neko"(招き猫). Not Chinese. In Japan, it is said that such a kind of statue bring shoppers to a store. Hence, we can see it at the Japanese stores.

lol, so lame, I'm in love with volvo, but just pulling the hand brake, to make it looks sporty... well... kinda weird for a Volvo. Volvo are serious car, they don't need this kind of "look at me" advert :/
And btw, they were a lot of real sporty Volvo witch could have done that without the hand brake a few years ago... (I mean the famous Turbo Brick era)

No S60R in the works. Too expensive to develop and not a big enough audience. Volvo "R" is now a sport trim.
