The whole song...second half unbeatable...frose killed the wrong part, that must be something pesonally,he is a pioneer,a soundpainter of electronica, maybe he thought, the second half is a song in itself, not related in his head together, and we think, because we cannot know, that he maybe hated his own creation, but he is a kind of purist,a perfectionist,i did sometimes kill my paintings, just beacause i thought it was not perfect, maybe its something like that...i surely love the second part!!!
I was more familiar with the album "Stuntman", and didn't remember this second part of pinnacles (pleased to listen), the sequenced arpeggios reminds me the ending of "Drunken Mozart in the desert" the choice of that kind of sound is perfectly smooth, sounding a little new-age somehow, Ray Lynch took maybe some of his inspiration around here. In fact there is 3 parts, full of a cross analog to digital voices, sounds very PPG stuff.! I liked it, like a first time. A kind of pictures gallery.
@markusmala Yes, Stuntman was my first and favourite Edgar Froese album. This track is a favourite which makes the decision to remove most of it on the rerelease a mystery to me :-/
the whole "Pinnacles" album will be always connected with certain memories of my life - as it has been said, TD's (and Edgar Froese's) music is the soundtrack of our lives.
@RichieFZ I have the original vinil, the music, of course is great, but something nobody talks about is the sleeve of the vinil. So elegant, modern, serious simple and beautiful
most wonderfull music ever!
