I've just finished the game, bought it yesterday and I am not impressed, the storyline could have had more variety, I felt like I was having more fun finding the ego's and looking forward to the next wacky think I could do like drawing faces on the whiteboard and have someone tell me its awesome but overall, I'd give the game a 7/10 for its good multiplayer gameplay, but the campaign let itself down a bit for me with not much variety, also let me add, im sure the DLC will bring more variety!

Personally, I dislike it for its incredibly shallow character and generic storyline. But seriously, all you guys can say, as well as point out the lack of valid arguments in reviews (which is true), is that it was fun. I hardly think that's a valid argument when you're comparing with "It's shit". They're both opinions. As for how a shooter can be fun, well, you shoot the gun and bullets come out of the end. That's universal. So it must be the weapons that make the experience better?

The game was nowhere near perfect, but it was still enjoyable despite what the masses say. What upsets me the most is that Gearbox and Piranha worked so hard to get this long overdue game out the door and in return for their dedication and hard work they got unnecessary hate, a lot of which was very unprofessional for video game critics. Call of Duty releases the same game each year with slightly more polished graphics and it gets an 8/10 while Duke gets bullied like the new kid in school...

I think this game is funner than COD but the challenges are too unrealistic(150 multikills in microwave????). The one thing i love more than the infinite devastator w/ jetpack is going try-hard to stomp shrunken enemies especially when frames-per-second are very low and laggy! it makes it even more funnier with a 200+ ping connection Xddd ahahah!!

what is shit about this game is not the graphics. it fails on the fact that it is not finished if i didnt suffer from frame rate issues when there is more than 2 enemies on screen which caused lag then this game would of been fine but i took this back and played red faction armageddon now that was worth every penny compared to this :)

Its to damn linear, there are no secrets at all, graphics are still dated and ugly, the gun sounds are pretty bad and for the first half an hour you dont even touch a gun. Oh and in the game Duke says "amour is for pussies" when in duke 3d he used armour the whole game. But i do think that the multiplayer is better than singleplayer. I didn't wait 14 years to ride in dukes car and keep filling it with gas, i want to shoot SHIT

In fact, this is far more CoD than Duke. They tried to make it too much of a generic FPS. Gearbox really should have started from scratch making this. A year or two more of a wait would have been far more worth it.
