A great track from a GREAT album, I have no idea why it bombed, hardly anyone I know has heard of them. Lovely clean upbeat hard-driving Indie sound, ahead of its time. But at least the Mr Mister albums can still be bought on CD. Enjoy the royalties lads.
I was a teenager when this song was popular, so it was sort of the 'anthem' for my friends and I as we spent our nights looking for girls - basically - everywhere!
These guys were one of the most under-rated bands in the whole era of the eighties. They could have been as big as U2 with the right management. Such a shame.
Surely an iguana, as a cold blooded animal is not nocturnal, therefore would precisely be the antithesis of a 'hunter of the night'? This naively (or ignorantly) erroneous symbolism utterly spoilt this video for me - otherwise everything else was fine... for a quarter of a century ago!
Actually the point made in the video is that the girl is the hunter of the night, while the iguana, representing the huntee, waits still in a cage! So the symbolism does after all make sense!
@NAIVADA I sincerely hope you are not talking about Mr mister. This song, although not my favorite, is still worth a listen unlike the overproduced plastic crap of today!!!
Ya'll need to check out the 70's version of Mr. Mister... "Pages". Three albums just like Mr. Mister. Never hit, though. And *very* 70's sounding. Richard Page and Steve George were the main songwriters, just like in Mr. Mister.
He has a perfect nose, cheeky ass! He did drugs big deal so did many singers and they still do today only today they sing about it and I mean blatently!!!!
2010 should be the year for the excellent Mr Mister to COME BACK!!!!!! Steve Farris although greatly talented, needs to get his head outta his ass and make up with Richard Page, it would be the best come back EVER!!!!!!!
You're totally and absolutely RIGHT 83Browenwings !!! Bye the way, you seem to be one of the biggest fan of Mr Mister on the net. Did you see the live song at the Ritz that i just put on You Tube???
@MrMrClane No I didn't see it yet, thanks for telling me about it! btw I like your user name, and yes I am a really big, big fan of the band. They have always been awesome to me!
caxo de temazo me encanta es la bomba,si en estos dias hubiera gente la mitad de buena que este grupo seria increible.giova--tenerife (islas canarias)
Yeah, Welcome to the Real World was just EPIC. all those hits-- Tangent Tears, Into My Own Hands, Broken Wings, the album title song itself-- so much vision in the lyrics, and always catchy to sing. I Wear The Face was jammin' though, they just stepped their game up on WTTRW.
The chick in this vid reminds me so much of the lovely Laura Branigan..another lady who died too young...this isn't my fave MM song but i watch it just for the end! MMMM!! Yummy! What a great image! He had gorgeous eyes!
Hey there! Yeah! I wish i'd been around at that time and not a 2 year old when Broken Wings came out! I'd have had all the posters as well I guess....I was a teen in the goddamn 90s when it all went downhill.....
I feel old when I read some of the comments.I was born before '81 and Mr. Mister was one of my favorite bands. I would listen to Broken Wings andIs this Love over and over.
I was born in 1981, a good yr in the 80's btw....and i actually remember seeing this vid by Mr Mister on MTV in 84' and even tho i was very young @ that time i can say that i lived thru the wonderful, fun, colorful 80's and i have took HELLA TONS of good memories w/ me from that time. I AM PROUD TO BE A 80'S CHILD!
Great songs from this first album. Pity that I never got it or even knew it existed, until today 25 years later. Welcome to the Real World and Go on are sufficient to make a 'Best of collection', though. I wonder what happened to the Unreleased album of 1989. Would have been nice to hear it. Guess they wanted to GO ON with their lives ... :)
Pull is quite different from their previous works. Nevertheless, It shows the maturity of the band and could had been a milestone in the musical style change from the 80s to the 90s. To me and many others, Pull has some of the best stuff Mr Mister ever made (as Page once admitted), but sadly never saw light. It is not too difficult to find it on the P2P.
It's appalling that the band doesn't own the rights to Pull. Page said he wanted to put it on his own website for people to download. Yet, the record company will not relinquish the rights, but won't release it either. Ridiculous.
i really like this song..i had not heard it till the other day...i was 13 when mister mr was on top...they were huge..they were all over the radio...this video is funny...the girl in it is HOT i love her legs:) what i dont get is the lizard...but then 80s vids made no sense...and that was really part of the fun and irony of it...richard page is alive and well but solo..look him up on google.
I like your comment. Yeah I guess the lizard thing's a bit strange, but that's the 80s! Fun, outlandish!! The girl is very pretty. Natural. Not full of silicone like today's hoes!
Hard to think of an act around today quite like Mr Mister. I'm fairly young but I can count myself as a fan of thie stuff. Nobody today is as talented or as chic as Mr Page and MM. They had class AND talent, a rarity now. Long live the 80's!
I had this on a BETA tape I was hoping to recover off of someday, thanks so much, I LOVE this song, loved it when it came out SO long ago.....yes, this song will never get old
I feel you , I was born in 84' and all my fav bands are 80s Journey, Survivor, Toto, MR Mister; to name a few.. The music these days will never compare to what the 80s had. Call it cheesy, call it cliche, but the 80's rocked, and rocked hard!
@cheffy84 great and real music died with the 80s. 90s music was crap. I can probably count on one hand the number of good songs/bands in the 90s. (btw, I was born in '72)

Please don't say that 90's music is bad. You should learn to have an open mind. True, the 80s was awesome. But please I;m not trying to support the 90s side. I just want you to know that it's better to not talk about something you hate.
@The235528 I was in college for the better part of the 90s, I didn't like secular music then and I still don't like 90s secular music. I switched to Christian music because it was and still is better.
So much talented, innovative, fresh, spirited, so great vocals, such great lyrics, but so underated... I´ll never understand why this band wasnt properly appreciated.
