hey i have an extra cable that has three plug in wire things that go out of it but how do i plug in my monitor because the monitor has now power and where to i plug in monitor power please help
BTW this is old, also there are many ways to do this...you can use a VGA, DVI or HDMI, S-Video cable or an adapter for one of the aforementioned as well as an adapter for the RGB cables if you want to go that route. There are many different graphics cards out there was well -most now have multiple connections, mine right now has 2 DVI ports and an HDMI port with sound out as well.
I used the dvi coming of my video card to hdmi on my TV to get better picture and speed . The cord is $64 for a good one and is easy to use . Recommend getting a BLUE TOOTH mouse and keyboard for $100 . Did this set up last year and it rocks . The VGA or Svideo have slower response time .
Great video. I have done eaxcatly the same pluged in the vga cable to my dell desktop and in the back of the Dell HDTV but i keep getting (self test feature check) msg with Red, Green Blue Whie colors thingy going in circle on the TV monitor.
I know how to do this, but I have a problem with an lcd I just bought. Its a Samsung 26 inches, and when I push the source button all I get is AV , when my ps3 is conected it reads the hdmi, nut the pc function is not there, and in settings the pc option is greyed out. Help
Why don't you show me how to tie my shoes or something. I mean if you can't plug in a simple connector like this, you don't need to own electronics. --- Maybe this is a challenge for the creator of this video, but for those of us with normal functioning brains, it's not rocket science.
If a person can't do this, one of the simplest tasks related to a computer, they probably aren't capable of turning the thing on, logging in, and navigating to this video or any other. They probably can't wipe themselves, either.
Hey, is that a 32" lcd tv? what model is it? I was thinking of getting one to use as a pc monitor also, but what is the res like at 1024x768? is everything too big? do you play pc games on it? what is the response time like? much input lag? any ghosting? thanks. I'm thinking you can't sit too close to it, but I planned to put it on my desk in front of me.
lcd is so outdated

Did you even look at this before you posted it? It's like looking into a black hole, you can't see 90% of the video!
