Of all the cities you can mention in California, how the hell does he know about Richmond? They knew what was up. Joe like Damon and Vern sed guys like Rally Mo wer legends in the early 80s so they had to been gettin down b4 we even heard of him. Hes older than us, so that puts him at about 44 minimum, right? Probably older.

They claim 'they heard about it from a friend...If these middle class white dudes, living in San Fernando Valley had heard about popping and were attempting it on film as early as 78, either they lying about the date of their vid, or popping was happening b4 the EB'S claim they invented it, or forms of popping were around @ the same time as EB's?

I don't think so. It predates him in the Bay. But the style comes from the bay as far as I know.
