There are a million definitions of magic. Even the acts of god can be described as magic, as it is unexplainable! One cannot say magic itself is evil. The intention within it, is what decieded what is evil or not.

Magic is defined as anything that is not explainable in a logical means. So for a poor villager in the East Asia who has never seen a TV - for him it is magic that there are images moving inside a small box (the TV). But the rest of us know this is not magic.

As far as I can get, this case is approximately the same as for Christians and Gnostics. Gnosticism is a "magical" (If the term is accurate) form of taking the message of Christianism, declared totally heretical by official Christianism. That could be the case for those Islamic occultists. I too got some material (Not really that detailed) about them and, for me, is more of a "Gnostic" form of Islamism. As far as I can get

Well the person who claims that has to prove it, but the most information we have about any person in history is prophet Muhammad pbuh. If you read the books about his life you will see yourself what kind of man he was. Before prophethood he was known among the arabs as "The Trustworthy", they never heard a lie from him. Infact, what's interesting is, after his prophethood, his enemies didnt even call him a liar, but they accused him of other things, they knew this man spoke no lies.

Whats also interesting is, when Muhammad pbuh married the daughter of Abu Sufyan, who was one of the fiercest enemies of the muslims and led wars against them... when the news reached Abu Sufyan, he said "I cant think of a better person to marry her".

Islam is the Quran and Sunnah. If its not from the Quran and from the authentic sunnah. there are not worth anything. There is no authenticity to any of those claims, and those extreme sufis are not considered muslim by actual sufis. they have very weird beliefs, they turn their "shaykhs" into divine beings, make them all hearing and all seeing. a lot of black magic is involved into fooling their naive followers.
