@luchoq77 Many hypnotherapists believe that suggestions made while a patient is under hypnosis help the patient to overcome otherwise impulse-driven behaviors. A hypnotist friend of my told me it's like when you train a dog a trick or teach a child something by repeatedly telling it to him, except that the hypnotic state makes you more open to suggestion. I've never tried it myself for anything (it's used for other stuff beside smoking), but I think it can definitely help. It can't replace will.
