I just don't get it. This sounded to me like the voice and the orchestra were on different keys and tempo. As usual, Aguilera goes overboard. And please...Aguilera is NOT in the same category as Aretha. Aretha is the one and only (with Maria Callas) and then come the rest. I thought this version left a lot to be desired considering the talent on stage.. I really think it's meant to be sang with a lot more sweetness than the way it's done here. Both Christina and Beyonce are amazing vocally. Christina just sings more ballads than Beyonce, whereas Beyonce tends toward more up tempo, club type tunes. With ballads, there's a lot more room to let your voice be heard than the club music. That doesn't mean at all that Beyonce couldn't sing that. I don't doubt she could, but comparing the two is kinda' like comparing apples to oranges. I don't think you can truly define one as better than the other. It's just a personal preference thing.
