Thanks so much for the vid. I'm a self taught seamstress and have been drawing my own designs since I was a kid. I'm now trying to figure out how to take those designs and turn them into patterns. Unfortunatly I live in the boonies so any classes or what not are a min 70 miles away, and I've a very visua/hands on learner so books just have left me confused.
Thanks so much for the tutorials. They're a great help!
Can you explain a little more about the cap? I'm worried I wont make my curve right! What about making a double curve for a dress shirt? I didn't quite understand that...
@madammorgo I'm doing a set of videos on sleeves this week actually and I just uploaded part 1 and part 2 today that are already available for you to watch if you want.
rhanks so much! I can't wait to try it on Powerpoint! I have been depressed b/c my size is so hard to find and when I try to draft sloper on paper, I have to remeasure each time, worry about right angled, straight lines etc. It takes so long to make just 1 pattern-. Thanks again. PS: do u have any tips on drafting to pattern for knits?(i.e. jersey or lycra mixed fabric)? do you draft new one and make your pattern pieces smaller by X percentage?
Thanks for the video, there's none other like it! (literally) I was trying to make a shirt pattern with no experience and it was just a square.... 2 squares... made of paper.... taped together.
@theKydrock1 You know what's funny? Before I got my Pattern paper, I used to use printer paper and tape just like you! It would take me forever just to make the paper and then to start on the pattern. It's honorable and it shows your commitment!!
hello.. i am finding your videos for the first time. i have always thought the sleeve would be the most difficult thing ever to make but your video makes me feel otherwise now. The instructions could not have been any clearer. Big shout out from England

@gstoud1 Thanks It just goes to show that it's true when they say necessity is the mother of creativity, because when you really want to get something done but you don't have the 'proper' products, or money or whatever, you have to make what you have work in that moment or else you'll just procrastinate your life away! Life is about finding solutions, not just pointing out all the obvious problems.
