  • When you said that we could make the balls on your website you didn't tell us what your website was.

  • @loveya121000 Hi, my website is on my profile but I'll try to give it here (You tube doesn't let you post it in comment boxes) so it's as follows, without the breaks w w w .creativecelebrationcakes. co.uk

  • Thank you for this tutorial! Your fondant is so smooth! How do you achive that look? Is it a very thick layer of fondant? Is it the cake underneath that is very smooth? Please help! : )

  • @mrsjanuaryflower Hi, this cake is a dummy cake, but you can achieve smoothness by rolling your paste to a thickness of about 5mm (¼"). Also if you give your cake an undercoat of something like marzipan or chocolate paste then this also helps achiev a smooth finish.

  • Hi Elaine, can I ask if sugar paste is the same as fondant and RTR? I'm in Australia, and I've found that depending on where your from, everything has a different name lol.

    thanks in advance :)

  • @MzAngel2008 Not sure what RTR stands for. Sugarpaste is often called fondant in other countries but I'm also aware that fondant can be a little different to sugarpaste (A little softer, stickier, stretchier) . Basically though, whatever it is you use to cover your cakes should be ok to do this. If you can get hold of Renshaws regalice then this is sugarpaste and the black that i use :O)

  • what cake recipe do you use?

  • @powerengineerful It's madiera cake. A recipe for it is on my website creativecelebrationcakes.co.uk The one used in this film is a dummy cake though ;O)

  • is the white sugar paste aswell

  • i really really like that cake do you have a store or something where i can buy it

  • @naomilover345 I don't have a shop I'm afraid but do I do have a fully registered and insured business making cakes to order in my cake room at home. I can only deliver within a 30 mile radius of Highbridge (UK) but most orders are collected. If you're interested in ordering a cake you can contact me through my website creativecelebrationcakes .co.uk

  • Just what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing. :-)

  • does grey also leave residue on lips and mouth??? cuz i need a dark color, but i dont want everyone at the party to have black lips lol

  • @Icecubepolarbear really depends how dark a grey it is. obviously the darker the grey the more colour added so the likeliness of staining is higher.

  • Hi i was just wandering how you got into this career? Like did you go to university and what did you study if you did? Or did you just start the job from the very start?

  • @RLMify I had children and started by making their cakes and taught myself from books and experimenting

  • wauww!

  • hi! I cannot find your video on your website on how to make the fondant balls uniformly? The border that is. Thank you your video is awesome and soooo helpful!

  • @mrspadilla2ya The balls are a photo step-by-step and not a video, so you'll need to go to the step-by-step page

  • Try choco pan---black doesn't stain and it taste so much better because it is a dark choc fondant

  • @isisaquaria Oh that's sounds interesting, I'll keep an eye out for that and give it a go, Thanks

  • thx 4 the video ive been wondering how to make zebra stripes :D

  • Thank-you so much for this video. I am going to try and make one this weekend. Question? Do you have a fondant recipe you would be willing to share? Thanks so much.

  • I see a LOT of black and white. I have a question, does the black fondant leave a residue on the lips and mouth?

  • @shirleart Yes it's aweful stuff, lol. I wouldn't dream of covering a cake in a really thick layer of it, that's why it's best to roll it as thinly as possible and put it over an already covered cake.

  • the video stops at 2:57, don't know why though. Too bad can't see the ending.

  • @laurademunter How strange it seems to be working OK now, very odd???

  • @MysticalMischief Yes it's working now. I have watched the entire video now. Very nice cake. Thanks for the how-to. Bye, Laura from the Netherlands
