It's a shame that Dori Miller never lived to see the end of the war, after a bonds tour, he returned to active duty where he was pronounced missing in action, and was never found.
@ohiostmarine29203 He was an undeniable hero - being a galley cook who went above and beyond by manning a weapon he was never trained on and downing an enemy plane. But in all truthfulness, the Navy Cross was appropriate in this instance. If you look through the Medal of Honor citations, they are typically reserved for servicemen who chose to face almost certain death - like throwing yourself on a grenade to save your buddies or the Delta Force snipers already mentioned.
@pfcmarine93 it was the arizona's flag. his best friend was the cook that was peeling the potatoes when the bomb went through the ships deck into the magazine.
Act of Valor will be another legendary war movie. Can't wait for show night.

sad that black people were allowed to die for their country, but still had to sit on special places in the bus.
and it is sad too, that, if i say i am german, you directly think of nazis :(
thousands of years of history. but all they can remember is 12 years of shit.
people call me a nazi are not better than these, because they judge me and dont even know me.
respect for all blacks fough in the wars, that includes civil war too.
greetings from berlin.

This video was SICK AS FUCK. ONE OF THE GREATEST TRIBUTE VIDEOS EVER.
If your looking for new movie characters to tribute.
Try the Delta Force Snipers in Black Hawk Down. Thats a good story too.
Keep up the good shit.
