  • thank you! i was regretting buying the 65mm explorer TB today. after watching this video I'm confident I can get it done tomorrow in little time. thanks!

i had also read the tmoss article but i still didnt quite understand it...but this video is gold!

  • I bought a converted TB from an FEP member. However, he and I did not know about the TPS mod, so that's all I'll have to do to it.

    Thanks for posting the video.

  • I did this a few years ago when I installed my Explorer intake. The videos are a great help to people.I've tried to explain this swap and others to people, but sometimes, people just need a detailed, simple explanation.Good work.

  • these are extremly helpful for anyone doing a gt40 swap thanks for posting them i would be totaly lost without it thanks!

  • Good video. You can remove the entire arm/pivot assembly before welding so you don't have to worry about melting anything.

  • good man

    thanks

  • I have the following mods I plan to do when I have the money and time to do them. 1. 331 stroker 2. GT-40p heads 3. Explorer Intake 4. 65mm Throttle Body 5. Custom Cam 6. Andersons MotorSports Stage1 S-tirm Kit (13 psi Pump Gas) 7. Cobra Brake Kit 8. Maximum Motorsport Suspension Kit 9. Elenor Paint Scheme All the parts I have already but I don't have the money or place to do it like I want to.
  • @flubbernuget dude this is a lot of help...but let me know something..the gt40x heads r they much better than the p ? cause i have p now an im thinking about getting some...

  • i love your videos on the mustangs have u given any thought to maybe doin more budget minded mustang mod videos?

  • Easier to understand compared to the pics in the Tmoss article.

  • was wondering where i could find the book you showed your vids are great keep em comin

  • The throttle body is a 65mm unit. I mis-spoke in the video, but corrected it in the title. Anything I post will be something I had read in a magazine or on one of the mustang message forums. This modification is one I read about on Tmoss web page. He is well known in the mustang community for porting factor intakes. I take no credit for anything I may have done in a video. I try to give credit where credit is due, sometimes I may overlook it in the process of making a video. Thanks.

  • You are a genius! Did you think of that all by yourself? I have a question however, are you sure its a 70mm throttle body or is it actually 65mm im not shure?

  • I have a Explorer intake and cold air intake with the explorer tb with underdrive pullies. Gonna order headers and waiting find good heads.

  • A larger throttle body by it self is not worth much horse power. But this type of mod or a larger throttle body helps when you improve breathing of a engine with Intake, heads, cam and exhaust. It all adds up. This is something you can do without having to buying a new 65mm throttle body. I hope this helps.

  • I have a 1989 roller and 1986 with body damage that I am taking the engine out and puting into the 1989. Converting it to MAF and I also bought a gt40 intake off of an explorer which came with tb. So I am deffinately try this let u now how it goes.

  • very good vid how much hp is that mod worth?
