I don't know why, but I found Endwar really dissapointing to play. I mean the content is great, but the gameplay, not so much. I guess I'm use to the calibre of World in Conflict, and because Endwar has a siccors paper rock style.

@2013branth End War really was pretty horrible in the actual gameplay aspect of it. If you were really desperate for a strategy fix on a console, it might be ok but as a PC game it is just sub-par all the way.

Endwar was developed later than WiC yet its graphics were nowhere near as good. You'd think that Ubisoft would publish a game of the same or greater calibre than WiC.

i have to say the game is extremely boring since you are only to command a few units and you rely ony our supportpowers a lot. But most annoying is that you need to use your keyboard for changing camera position while there are so many command keys

@Se7enBeatleofDoom I think they are. The Chinese entered the war and got beaten back before they even arrived. They're not out of it yet, and everyone is still duking it out over Germany. Just not sure which continent they are going to be holding the America v China conflict. Should be interesting.

I have feeling if they make a World in Conflict sequel it may end up being a Homefront style speculative fiction set in a near future conflict then the same Alternate history setting. Other words a stand alone new storyline.

This game is really good, best RTS I've ever played, I prefer the multiplayer but the campaign is good too. If you've played the demo on steam (like I did), it only gets better. Tons of maps and vehicles. Be warned: if you get on a team that dosent talk, your screwed because this game requires more teamwork than modern sports do.

i have only played the demo but i love it, ther is only 1 thing i don't like and that's the cutscenes and trailers i have seen on youtube. They are good looking and fun to watch but i think they are pretty much bullshit becouse they show that Russia (USSR) is a supercountry that is unstoppable and that the us is getting owend losing everything and Russia loses nothing still they are fun to watch and i think that the full game must be awesome

@VIKINGproductions101 LOL actually neither side is losing cause if you have played the whole game including soviet assualt expansion the story tells you that europe or germany to be specific is now a meat grinder and that the russian commanders tell you that they are not losing the war but not winning either and that i might be spoiling it for you but america was getting own because of the russian suprise but i reccomend you buying the game to see how it turns out at the end pretty good!

I will always remember this game in almost 40 years of gaming as the game I had the biggest hopes for, but turned out to be a major disappointment. I've reinstalled it like 5 times and each time I removed it again after a short time.

I got this game a while back and I loved it. I enjoyed the campaign and fighting bots on the multiplayer maps. The No Hope Mod also added a lot of re playability and made me lust to get those extremely powerful nukes.

I just didn't like the personality of people online. They take the game too seriously and treat it like they are in a war (not kidding). The over react to losing and never thank you if you do something that saves their ass. Spawn camping with attack choppers is a problem too.

You just can't beat the age old formula of building a base, setting defenses up, and then sending out strike forces to secure resources until your good to attack. This?.....well i liked the game at first but then i played multiplayer. ZERO tolerance for new players, im told to send my tanks into the front, then keep them in the back and kicked THE moment i fail to comply. Oh and whats with the EXTREMELY low flying jets unable to be engaged by aa? that would actually balance crap out.

basically the only thing endwar did do that wic didint do was voice command(which actually is near flawless but its the only thing that claims this games fame,but that still doesent make it a better game) also the feature of not being able to free roam with the camera (which really does suck when you experience that).wic just did everything soo much better,especially the explosions! that game was a masterpiece.

not at all in my opinion. endwar is a terrible game. its nothing like this,its camera angles are fucked the actual animations of the general existence of the soldiers and vehicles is pretty croddy too(animation wise that is but the actual graphical imagery is pretty good to an extent) and the effects...the effects are all spritey and generation N64 looking, that only look half decent from a substantial distance(machine gun effects, admittedly look decent for an rts).

world in conflict is single player story and online - which is awesome!

but the theather of war feature in endwar is fantastic - fighting for ground and the moving battlelines is a great concept.
