  • this would be a wicked game to port over to tablets...

  • You have great collection of the videos of HG levels. Thanks for sharing.. But do you have the videos for short action games?

  • Awh damn. I have this game on CD-Rom somewhere around here. I could never configure the sound card correctly and after hearing how awesome this game sounds I'm going to try again.

  • And then DMA Designs became Rockstar.

    <3

  • In my time i was able to play with 3 friends a few times and it was really fun. Great atmosphere, sound effects and music.

  • such an awesome atmospheric game, wicked sound affects & music

  • Interesting, that this came out only a few months before System Shock, yet the graphics and interface were so poor. And the loading time… oh, the loading…

Apparently still a great game. But I, for one, go with System Shock.

  • Great music.

  • I'm gonna need a change of pants after watching this!

  • how does this compare to, say, Space Hulk?

  • @Alianger For the most part, it's easier.

  • NERD !!!

  • A lot of brown pants moments playing this!! I used to connect my amiga to my HI-FI and the audio was out of this world, by the time standards! Just awesome!

  • Oh man, haven't seen this for 17 years! My brother and I used to play split-teams and it was brilliant (except for when he shot me in the back). The sound effects really got me after all this time; the bubbling water, that amazing chain-gun, the blocks moving...especially that terrifying noise of crunching gravel! A beautifully presented game - it really was exciting to see how much effort went into it.

  • I remembered looking this game at a local magazine when I was little. When I wanted to play this game now I feel like I having a terrible headache.

  • hahah I couldn't play this game for shit....was way to young at the time, loved it though even if I was just shooting at nothing most of the time!

  • Fantastic game brings back memories, always got my brother to go up front, I always ended up shooting him in the back! Great vid thanks

  • great memories, played this 4 player with my bro, partner and dad lol

  • Space hulk ripoff.

  • Why didn't you get that ( it is that beauty lady's gun ) . At 4.03

    Anyway, Thank You! God Bless!!

  • This game had a unique atmosphere.:D

I liked it very much when I was little.

How well I remember was on six 3.5-inch drives.

  • one of the best amiga games. :)

  • best amiga game, i played it on my amiga 4000

is possible to play it somehow on pc ?

    thanx

  • The game is one of the best on amiga but the player is playing on pc so this video doesn't make any sense

  • this game is scary. i find it more scary to play now than when i was a kid. i played it on the winaue emulator

  • Class game. I remember playing two player on this with my brother!

We had two mouses hooked up :)

  • Me too... I remember spending the weekend playing this from start to finish on my Amiga A1200 with my brother. It was a lot less hassle installed on the Hard Drive and we had two mice in two player mode. This game may look dated by today's standards, but it was scary as hell back in those days!

  • This game is the muts nuts... :O)

  • best aminga 500 game ever with the coolest soundtrack.

  • Played it on A1200, completed it - twice LOL. Loved it. Wish there was a sequel. There was one due to come out on PC, I saw screenshots and a preview but it was never released. If anyone knows of a released sequel we'd all love to know about it. Same with Syndicate and Syndicate Wars, I really need a sequel. LOL. Anyone know?! Cheers, Alistair G.

  • The sequel was available online for quite a while if you took the time to search for it, it was not a retail build, but still in a fairly complete state, more complete than 'some' retail builds I've seen!

It really had very few similarities to the original, and would have been a cpmplete flop if released in my opinion.

  • @LurkingCrassZero

sorry, accidentally gave you a thumbs down mouse slip. my bad. Hired Guns was the best!

  • @dunique No problem mate, I've accidently done it myslef many times! lol

But yeah, Hired Guns was way ahead of it's time. Captive & Liberation: Captive 2, were two similar games on the Amiga, also very good also, especially Liberation, which was very much like Deus Ex - long before Deus Ex was even thought of - in my opinion. Same goes for Corporation, yet another game way ahead of it's time. Sorry, I'm went off on one of my dewy-eyed nostalgic ramblings there! :-D

  • GGGreeeaatt game :°D

  • Another great Amiga game, if you have it please post a vid, is "It Came From the Desert". OMG the giant ants and escaping from the hospital. I LOVE THAT GAME!

  • omfg, ive totally forgot bout that game, it was awesome too

  • It's loaded from an emulator. And thank you SO much for the flash back. My friend's brother and I used to play that all the time. Never could beat it though because something was wrong with one of the last loading areas. It would guru on us all the time.

  • that's one of a few games that have such a great gloomy spooky atmosphere.

  • Excellent session sir! But why do you play from Floppy Disk?

  • goes in loft and gets a1200 out sets up and plays this awesome game again!!

  • what a game!

  • This was SUPERB !

  • A top notch Amiga Game....it's what the Nintendo DS was born to run, 4 way split or wifi co-op...but never will sadly. And Dungeon Master.

I'm buggered If I can remember, a similar game.. had a sort of death metal vocal intro, and you could jack into pc's as you moved around the worlds cities single POV, and hawkwindish type music...not B.A.T. but similar???

  • @ theloniousmoog

    was the game Liberation?

  • The Nintendo DS idea - stunning concept. So not bothered about buying one but that is genius. You could have 4 like minded people in any situation for at least 30 minutes and it would so work. Can you get this on an emulator for the Mac?

  • It was my favorite game and thanks to amigaforever it is once again on pc now!I remember I had completed without saving at all...the old good days...!!Awesome Atmosphere, you could be leaving you brain there for long...

  • I must be getting old because I don't think I'd be able to figure out how to play this game now! I used to play the demo all the time...could never find the full game. :(

  • I remember playing this with my friends - total madness! running around getting blasted from goodness knows where! :) Awesome sound effects

  • It's funny how you suddenly remember these levels and how the corridors and tunnels turned when you watch it again, even though it was close to 15 years since I played it last. Outstanding quality game.

  • Watching that video still gives me the willies. It was terribly creepy listening to doors opening and closing with none of your team moving. You just knew it was a monster coming after you!

  • Thank you for uploading this. This has to be one of my favourite games ever. Another Amiga game that I played but never completed.

  • SFX are soooo good in this game

  • yeah there mint, just hearing it makes me think of my youth! lol
