Dude the best games for arcade right now starts with the latest to earliest, the best arcade game to date right now is Warzaid, World Combat, and Wartran Troopers, their for number one, dude alright good arcade games, ima educate you, have large sprites, adrenaline triggering action, lots of visual stimuli such as lights and dazzled sound effects, and out of this world ideas, i'll put in order after those three the best arcade games their are, Marvel Vs Street Fighter, WWF Slamfest, In The Hunt.

I like Crudebuster - it's a solid Beat-em-up..

Combatribes isn't the best to be honest - poor controls as you say.

Crime Fighters is very poor - reminds me of Brute Force. Same rubbish graphics and bad collision detection.

Cliffhanger should be good, but there's little differentiation between objects in play and those in the background. That really annoyed me.

Cadillacs = WIN!

Cpt America - this one grew on me, I got quite good at it.

e.g. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (Capcom) and Crimefighters (Konami)]... Now all they have to do is put out all their Beat Em Up fighting games on the PS3 or Xbox 360 networks... Combatribes is so awesomely good, but so stupidly hard. It would take approximately 3 decades worth of allowance money to beat it in the arcade. The stupid bosses can hit you in the middle of your freaking combos! I hate those tools! Only made me want to play it more tho

Yeah, same here...but in my version of MAME it's listed under it's Japanese name (Vendetta), so to keep it simple I'm just going by the default name in the directory ^_^

Violent Storm, the third in the series, is pretty sweet too. It's hard to go wrong with Konami beat'em ups.
