  • Ive lost about 100 big fish that were over 30 years old to these damm otter's. They killed all my wifes Aylsbury ducks by biting their heads off. It was deffinately an otter (not a fox) cuz he was caught in the act. I feel really bad for you mate. It's about time something was done! Maybe we should dump all our mutilated fish etc on the Otter Trusts doorstep!

  • I assume that by stating it was caught in the act, the appropriate action was taken...?

(In the style of Mr Burns)....Excellllent.....

  • Unfortunately dealing with an apex killer which is protected is difficult, such a shame to see the fish ripped apart like that.

  • Its strange the affinity people build up with certain animals. An otter is simply a larger, more destructive mink just as a badger is a heavier more destructive fox - yet one is protected and the other is not.

Try expaining that to someone who has no idea about the need for vermin control and they will flounder, bash out the same old cliches they learned from other inbreds whilst avoiding work and smoking dope.

Could they be classed as vermin too?

  • A victory for all otter-kind!

  • i once was shooting a duck and accidently hit a cormorant such an accident...maybe you should try and shoot that ''rabbit'' that keeps hanging around you pond :OP

  • Accidents will happen. I call it collateral damage.

  • @Axeman02 PMSL.....yes yes...kill that wraskly wrabbit! Keep nasty chips!! My Precious. Gollum Gullom...

(or keep buying it dinner, electric fences, and such...your choice).

Otter make nice full length mitten ya know.

  • I hope a cull will come of these horrible things, but the environment agency will probably never do it

  • As with any destructive wildlife, there will be areas of the country where there will be unofficial culls.......

  • what fish was that

  • It was a large ghost carp.

  • evil fakking otter!!!!

  • I'm sorry to see that.

  • My dad had a marina/boat house here in Texas. His boat dock floated on foam, attached to a walkway that was attached to land obviously. He had beaver issues. They'd dig out the foam under the dog (huge foam blocks, mega expensive), and live inside of it.

So we'd put a light or two out, and quietly fish all night till we saw the beavers, then get em with a bow/reel set up for bowfishing.

Strangely enough, after 2 left blood behind, the others left quickly. Probably the smell of their blood.

  • @psychoninja911 He didn't have another problem again for about a year. When they returned, I think shooting 1 caused the entire family to leave. He was going to keep some of it's blood to just pour into the water if they came back... But he ended up selling the Marina.

  • Could have been the smell of blood or the fear of getting harpooned and reeled in like a fish. lol

  • that is a shame to see such a lovely fish like that,,do you have trouble with mink there ,,?

  • Since the otters moved into the local river, there are very few mink. I did loose some small fish a few years ago to a mink but it got shot.

  • @pondguru

Unlucky :( ignore all of those morons "hating" they're moronic retards.

  • Trolls on Youtube give me amusement as they never have any sort of mental capacity to come back with anything other than hate and swearing.

They never seem to realise that they are showing themselves up and the owner of the video could block them at any time and remove the comment.

Must be 'small penis fury syndrome' or something similar.

  • did you eat the fish? haha

  • It had one previous owner so didn't look too good.

  • ha ha dick head u got a hunting tips vid with no hunting just a fuck witt ranting on it ur tips are shit too

  • Dude, you've had days to think of something clever to come back with and this is all you can muster?

There are over 100,000 people who have enjoyed my shooting guide video so far, so although you're entitled to your opinion, maybe you should show a bit more intelligence when laying out your gripes.

I made a point of not blocking you after the first time you tried to cuss me as it has been a while since I'd been trolled and I needed some amusement.

    Must try better.....

    Third time lucky?

  • look at u cryin about a fish yet u make hunting tips vids wake up u bitch

  • More white trash talking ghetto......

Since you haven't used your account for making videos, please use the internet for its intended purpose:

    Whacking off to porno clips.

  • ok mate, enjoyed your vids, was just wondering how you know it was an otter ? that looks like mink damage, and you can shoot as many mink as you like,

  • I've shot plenty of mink and seen what they can do. They generally go for the goldfish first but the otters always seem to pick the bigger fish first, maul them and leave them out while they get another one. Strangely it has not been back (and no, I didn't shoot it - although if I saw it mauling fish...who knows)

  • @pondguru ok mate, was just a thought, my brother has a big pond with plenty of big koi's in, rang me once his fish were goin missing, we found 5 big koi's under his shed, a little mink had dragged the fish clean out of the pond each about 4-5 lb, looked similar to yours, i keep ferrets n go hunting, he didnt know what could have done this but i waited and knocked the mink over with my .22 air rifle,

  • Yeah, for some reason, mink always seem to drag the fish under a bush or shed in this case.

Used to have ferrets myself - stinky little beggars, even in a 10' x 4 cage. gave them away when i got my rifles but still miss ferreting with the sound of rolling thunder then the explosion of action as the rabbits hit the nets - Awesome.

  • @pondguru my cage is 7x2x2 i like a big cage for em to play about in iv had ferrets since i was about 10, im 51 now, my old lurcher he's 15 so we've all seen better days, i like my air rifle tho, AA s410, 8-32x56 sr12 sidewinder scope on it with silencer, just saving up for an NV now,

  • Sounds groovy.

  • Sorry for your loss, poor fishy- the otter could have at least eaten it all. Good luck keeping them out.

  • I've cut the vegetation back hard around the pond so I can see if anything is going on and there's nowhere for predators to hide without me seeing them should they get in.

  • You provide an unnatural easy food source and you are going to attract predators. Bright coloured fish are like sitting ducks, carp are not even native to this country, otters are. It's harsh but that's nature, we destroy their natural habitat and food source so they adapt. It's the other way around in the US with carp being extrminated in huge numbers due to their invasive and damaging ways. As for the last bit about the fish being alive when being killed..man up mate, that's life.

  • The otters leave the rivers due to the rivers being cleaned out by cormorants and people with sticks up their ass telling fishery owners they shouldn't be shot. Inland, cormorants should be shot - simple as that. I would recommend anyone to shoot them if they care about inland stocks of fish and river health.

You obviously have never had a fish still alive with their guts out from an otter attack.

Sorry, man but I won't have some homo telling me what vermin I can't shoot.

  • Apologies if this sounds harsh, man.

I just am a bit passionate about conservation without red tape. I'm not suggesting you are like the suits who have no idea about food chain management.

Man, I can't stand those tools.

  • @pondguru I have actually. I keep fish both in aquaria and a pond. I have had cats and a heron kill and partially kill fish and I've had fish attack and kill each other. I don't blub about it like yourself (and you call calling ME the homo? haha) because that's how nature is. I didn't say you shouldn't kill what you want though, I merely pointed out that really you only have yourself to blame that your prize fish are dead.

  • If you had the capacity to understand, I was calling the suits homos.

Thats exactly how nature isn't, man.

Humans have cocked up the balance so badly and stupid laws by liberal paedo loving terorists render the innocent guilty of worthy control of vermin.

Take the case of grey squirrels or badgers for example.

    Yes, I rest my case.

    No further question your honour.

    Best wishes,

    etc. etc. etc.

  • @pondguru Maybe you should do some cormorant hunting videos if its legal over there.

  • It is legal with a licence but I'd best wait until I have one or until they are classed as vermin (why the hell aren't they now???) until I video any getting shot.

Yeah, that's a good idea - I don't want to fall foul of the law. Even if it is an ass where cormorants are concerned.

  • @pondguru Cool i've been told theyre protected where i live, i saw one last week when i was out fishing.

  • You just mad that the otter is better at fishing then you.

  • A blind man with no arms would be better at fishing than me.

I aint exactly angler of the year, man.

  • unlucky mate they are a propper pain in the arse im on a syndacate and theres reports of 1 hanging about not alot u can do really 2 much red tape i supose if u had a couple of dogs waiting and they happend to get loose when it was about not your fault if a chain linkage snapped lol

  • Accidents will happen. I'm trapping crayfish in there at the minute...

  • Otters have the most valuable fur.

  • feel for you man, mayby you need a few more thousend volts running thru that fence and leave the otters hanging on it, like the frogs we allways see around lakes hanging on the fences

  • i'm so envious of you. i live in massachusetts in the us and suppressors are illegal along with many other things. but to outlaw pistols and semi-automatic firearms above .22 is pretty ridiculous

  • Yeah, I'm sure it didn't have anything personal against me but it sure bums me out.

  • It's called NATURE *jazz hands* Get used to it.

  • You penis.

  • @pondguru :)

  • it only nibbled it the wastfull little bastard

  • It nibbled a few unfortunately. Since this video, a few floated to the top with holes in them from the otter.

  • Eh the circle of life

  • I live in the us so firearms are easy to obtain. I m wondering how hard it was for you go get one ( you live in the uk, right?). Was it a big hassle for you? Also how hard was it to get a suppresor?

  • This country is in danger of being taken over by paedo loving terrrorists so its becoming harder to get guns. Supressors are quite common, no worries. We can't get semi auto guns above .22 cal or pistols of any type which is a bit of a bummer as I would love to make a range for a bit of plinking in my garden. AS long as you have land to shoot on, guns aren't too hard to get. Easier if you live in the country.

  • Sorry to hear. It was carrying eggs? Meh.

  • Very sad, I hope this doesn't happen in your pond again...

  • Hopefully the electric fence won't fail again so it should be OK. Thanks for watching.

  • I had a herring eat my koi it was sad

  • Should that read 'Heron'?

  • @pondguru lol ... well either way I had seen the bastard hanging around in the trees a couple of days before but the bastard got my fish despite my efforts.

  • Sneaky is not a good enough description of fish predators.............

  • I remember seeing a salmon at Kenda's that had been terminated by an otter - do you!

  • We left it there and it was fresh out the river. I'd have stolen it off the otter now - bloody things.

    Where you living now?

  • Dear God, how can someone have clicked the dislike button already?

Oh, you were expecting to actually see an otter attacking a dog, or a small child perhaps.

    Jesus wept.....

Apologies, I am in mourning for my loss.

  • my uncle once had an otter family in his pond almost every fish is death

  • Aaaaahh, the beauty of nature....

  • @pondguru

Yh its just the cycle of nature so my uncle just let them eat you know he didnt pet them and stuff a man i wanna go to my uncle again :P

  • Summer has come and passed, the innocent can never last.

    Sorry man.

  • I do what I always do when I feel like going on a murderous rampage.........I made a nice curry. (Not from otter meat. Or from the dead fish.....)

  • Nothing warms you (and your backside) up like a good curry.

  • Yeah, burns at both ends.

  • Time to make another hunting video then mate, sorry about your fish though, did you say it still had eggs?

  • It was full of eggs and would definitely have spawned in the spring.

    Aaaarrrrgghhhhhh.....................

I've done a review of my Ruger 10/22 so should be uploading that today....

  • @pondguru Damn, it was a massive fish too, i'll look forward to watchin your Ruger video.

  • mother nature strikes again. hungry otters need to get there fish at walmart.

  • damn otters!
