  • Not the greatest of recordings...also, not a fan of the drums/percussion in the beginning. I like the purity of the song.

  • Nádhera!! ;)

  • The most beautiful song by BN. When I first heard it I thought my heart would burst. So beautiful it hurts.

  • Me thinks the wench is hot. I always listen to this track whilst jousting!!

  • Happy Birthday Candice!!!!!

  • the guitar that ritchie is playing looks like a Telecoustic but it does not have the soundhole is this what it is or is it a different guitar

  • It is now my life's mission to meet these two. They are my new definition of awesome.

  • Uma pérola

  • @JBL850 It takes a snob to know a snob

  • Que mujer tan hermosa, y esta canción me gusta mucho :)

  • The difference between Stevie Nicks and Candice is that Candice can carry a tune.

  • why wasn't a guitar solo like this one in the studio version? :( He just keeps the flow of the song and just adds some notes, at the first view! but by doing so, he tells his own moving, emotional story, without any words... hm? what am I saying?!?^^ well, this is the Blackmore-magic! and it works in many styles. so here.

  • Mrs.Blackmoore looks like Stevie Nicks. Peace.

  • Those - solo end signing - triplets at 4:00 - fine!!!

He uses just those in Spanish Nights too - but sans fait rien!

  • Candice and Richie work well together......long may they continue to do so. Keep it going................

  • pls leave that end pick up again yours strat pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

  • does anyone know where i can the video for i still remember by them ?

  • FODÁSTIC.....

  • FAN - Flippin - TAstiC !!!!!!!!

  • Does anybody know where I can find '16th Century Greensleeves' from this show? I used to have this on video and I love the version of the song they way they did it on this tour.

The dark haired girl playing the guitar was hitting some really cool harmony notes during the song and it's been stuck in my head that way ever since.

Anyway, if somebody could point my in the direction of it I would by most grateful.

  • I think Candice has a pretty average and somewhat boring voice. But MAN...Ritchie's solo in this song is SO. GOOD.

    He's the master!

  • She's hot though ;)

  • Well buckethead is a veeeeery good guitarist, his best album TO ME, is Colma watching the boats, woow amazing song

but hey this is a blackmore video, and Blackmore is a God,he is malmsteen´s father

  • Buckethead is much better than all these other guitar shredders!! He has a very good feeling although he also can play very fast and technical stuff, but he doesn´t do that very often.

Of course Blackmore is unrechable, but Buckethead goes in a similar direction with feeling and he goes his way no matter what people say about. He has much more character than all these "guitar heroes" that no one needs...

  • Have you given Michael Schenker a listen? He is the original "non shred" guitar virtuoso. Best album he's been a part of was "Lights Out" from UFO.

  • No one can deny that buckethead is technically skilled, but anyone with an emotional range greater than that of a spoon can hear the soul in this music.

Not that Buckethead isn't dedicated to his music, not at all. This is just different.

  • Blackmore is brilliant. Buckethead blows and so do you....yourself.

  • What the hell?? Is that guy really trying to compare buckethead with Ritchie Blackmore.

Man, go learn a thing or two about music. Buckethead is NOBODY.

  • Comment removed

  • he is not as famous as some other guitarists but only someone who don't play guitar can ignore the fact that he is among the worlds best. and my personal opinion he is better than hendrix, eddie van halen, page, slash, malmsteen etc and i only rank ritchie higher than him. he is fast, extremely accurate and got superior feeling in his playing, he is a true genius. and he is the nr1 killswitch player in the world.

  • They are great!

  • Just beautiful!!! Master Ritchie is a genius and Candice has the voice of an angel.

  • @ckc1958

I correct you, Candice is an angel ;)

  • @ckc1958

    Candice is an angel ;)

  • this is brill

  • @ckc1958 i discoverd my soui in this im 49 was into rock

  • hands down best guitarist in the world, only buckethead is even close! go go go ritchie!

  • Buckethead blows, barely talented enough to play chile cook-offs in South Dakota.

  • haha right, you obviously got no ears what so ever, buckethead is one of the best guitarists in the world, just listen to his soothsayer piece here on youtube, if you dont agree with me after you done that you are just ignorant as shit;) so go go google buckethead - soothsayer and listen to it, and get back to me;)

  • Until yesterday when I read your comment here I´ve never heard about Buckethead before...

This guy is incredible and until yesterday I didn´t know a guitarist with feeling like Ritchie. But Buckethead is the only one who gets close to!!

Forget all these other bullshit shred players like Malmsteen or Petrucci. This guy has really heart and soul in his playing....

But how can you refer on Soothsayer ?? There´s so much better stuff!!

  • soothsayer is a good piece but yea there are better once, I like jordan for example alot, buckethead is probably the best in the world on killswitch playing. listen to his Jordan piece, thats some insane talants with the killswitch. also nottingham lace is super good. indeed malmsteen is just shredding but buckethead is super fast but also got the soul in his playing like ritchie does, thus why buckethead is succesful only using his guitar melodies and no vocals.

  • This is the way all music videos should be done. Real live footage and audio combined with conceptual shots. I think lip syncing is totally ghey.

  • I think Ritchie is really good guitarist, one of the best of all time and not just a guitarist...;)

And this song sounds gooood, shit really gooooood

  • this stuff reminds me so much of early mike and sally oldfield it is uncanny

  • Is there any tab for the solo please, give me the link. thanx ! :)

  • zajebiste (POLAND)

  • *_*

    beautiful....

  • Brilliant song..and she is so beautifull<3

  • I love so much this song...Is my favorite band ...

  • First speaking, I love this band, I am excellent, perfect, and this video clip I found pretty of, wonderful more, without words, very good.

  • 5***** for posting ! wonderful !

  • muy tuanis...pero que cambio a estar viendo el solo de Strange kind of Woman del Made in Japan...

  • I absolutely love Blackmore's night. I remember Richie playing in Deep Purple. It's nice to be able to play all kinds of music.

  • exelente composicion y bellisimas melodias tiene. un 5 estrellas se merece, blackmore un exelente guitarrista (aunque de pasar de hacer terrible metal, a tocar esto fue un gran cambio). simplemente bellisima la musica celta

  • You say weird, I say great :D

  • times like this i'm glad we still have rockers like lemmy from motorhead and biff from saxon old guys can still rock and don't need to play weak or soft, i understand if this is what ritchie wants to do but ain't my cup o tea. even dio rocks harder than this.

  • Hey when youre a musician its about the music soft or hard, these songs are great mystical songs one of the best albums Ive heard lately, no doubt these songs brought me back to my own medieval past lives

  • First of all, Dio rocks harder than most men. : ) Saw him with Heaven & Hell last year, and it was absolutely fantastic!

Second, this is awesome stuff man. Ritchie hasn't gone soft. He's always been into this kind of stuff. He was one of my favorite guitarists and continues to be. I mean I understand if you don't dig this stuff, but to call it weak...I think that's an insult ot Ritchie and to his music.

  • I agree I still love Ritchie's playing maybe i'll give this a chance. Dio is great for being almost 70. Heaven And Hell are brilliant. Deep Purple is my favorite band of all time as well as Rainbow. So who knows maybe this will grow on me, Rainbow had a little of this in their music anyways due to Ritchie's influence. I never seen ritchie i've seen Dio in 85 and again in 2003/ also in 2004.

  • Holy shit, Dio is 70???!!! Damn, the very fact that he can still stand up straight is a testament to the man's greatness. Let alone the fact that he is still an amazing singer.

Yeah, I never saw Blackmore live either. Saw Deep Purple a couple of years ago, but it was with Steve Morse. Awesome show still.

  • yup he was born in 1942 , he did rockabilly/60's style pop songs in the late 50's early 60's and hard rock in the 70's, the man doesn't die. or age for that matter. his voice sounds awesome on heaven and hell's new album.

  • @MrGogoZec When's the Rainbow reunion tour we've all been waiting for. Seriously... Blackmore and Dio on the same stage... I have an erection just thinking about it.

  • @Ascyltos Sorry, the reunion isn't going to happen now, because Dio died yesterday, according to NPR. Stomach cancer.

  • @chalicechiq

    FUCK.

  • @nigletgook

Yeah, really sane to compare Ritchie with those 2 others.

  • Master Ritchie!!!

  • This is kinda grim, someone else said the solo at 2.57 was great. Personally I couldnt listen to this that long without nodding off, her singing grates on me and although in tune, totally mundane, boring and soul-less. Looks like they are performing at smurf-fest. Good luck Richie RIP your metal days. PS!! If you want to hear a good Richie solo, buy Made In Japan from Deep Purple, Strange Kinda Woman, or Child In Time (not the butchered version he plays here with these lepricons).

  • @carlgar - hehehe, there may be some truth in that Papa Whiskey comment.

On the other hand, if that's the price of schtupping a girl who looks like that when you're 65 years old...

  • The bass player is in my class.

  • he did THIS after deep purple? wierd.

  • he did this after rainbow.

  • This is the power of a woman to change Richie's music style. The power is called "Love". Great song.

  • Actually, I don't think she made him change his music style. I think this is the kind of music he had always wanted to play ( you can see it in some Rainbow songs). Maybe she encouraged him to actually do that...

Nevertheless, I prefere DP and Rainbow style, even though I have to admit that this is a greant band also.

  • todoo lo que se refiere a Ritchie es grandioso...

esta banda es tan diferente yy el sonido

de blackmoreee cambioo totalmente a lo que hacia con DP y Rainboow

    es un dioos!!

  • He had DP and Rainbow, but now he must be tired of this and he must prefer this kind of band...

Isn't it OK? However, BN it's and awesome band too.

  • 2:57 begins one of Blackmore's greatest solos i've ever heard

  • That guitar play 0:40 - 0:55

    Just LOVELY

  • Wonderful song!!

  • What has happend to the great gitarist

  • Nothing. He just keeps getting better and better, the way he has always done.

He has always been one to go his own way, and there ain't nothing anyone can do about it.

  • To N64L :

Wake up man. Time of Deep Purple has gone. Ritchie has already said in Deep Purple all he'd wanted to say and now looking for his new sound. If you don't like music like this it has nothing to do with him...

  • And...we must admitt that Deep Purple and Rainbow are super bands, but he still being the best in Blackmore's Night.

However, I would love see him playing in Deep Purple the classics

  • great songs:D

  • Blackmore was never happy before he met Candice Night.

  • You can understand why he was happy after though, right? :o)

  • Nice song.

  • You may laugh at the costumes, but listen to the guitar playing , particularly the solo. Imagine this on an electric guitar and it would be fantastic!

  • Im not blaming her for him leaving DP but it isn't difficult to see what happened. Given a choice between a night with her or Ian Gillan I know what I'd do... :)

  • I really didn't want this to be spinal tap's stonehenge or Dave St Hubbins' girlfriend's band but it is. I love Blackmore and I know he's capable of so much more. She's fit mind I can see why he's just married her :) Can't see her knocking Child in Time any time soon...Long Live the original Deep Purple.

  • you cant blame her for ritchie leaving DP .. Ritchie choose for it himself, and nothing can change the direction he took.

  • Candice - verry nice woman.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

  • Its like being a cheese shop surrounded by hugh cheese walls 10 feet high and loads of tiny cheese men, made of cheese are holding you down by their tiny cheesy arms and force feeding you cheese, cheese and more cheese until your body turns to a huge lump of cheese.

  • ....What?

  • Its like being a cheese shop surrounded by hugh cheese walls 10 feet high and loads of tiny cheese men, made of cheese are holding you down by their tiny cheesy arms and force feeding you cheese, cheese and more cheese until your body turns to a huge lump of cheese.

  • Well that explains Everything!

  • incredible song... i love it and i love this album.

  • mi Maestro kon mi Amor platóniko

    Exelente!!!!

esta musica nunka va ha morir

  • Esta música te transporta a la época. Excelente !!!!

  • Ich habe alle Cd´s von Blackmores Night und ich finde alle Lieder Toll. Ritchi mit seinen magischen Händen und Candice mit ihrer tollen Stimme. Es paßt einfach alles zusammen. Hut ab!!!

  • Blackmore is a great guitarist, this song is pretty good but he should put down the acoustic and plug back into his Marshall stack and rock all of our socks off

  • yeap & addmitting he was an idiot & come home to

    deep purple!!!!

  • Or maybe Deep Purple should admit that they are morons (except for Ian Paice) and just common lowlives compared to the great GOD Ritche Blackmore. Maybe then he will come back.

  • I concur. Plugged in, he could be a god of thunder, but this thing above with the cute tail singing and slapping a tambourine reminds me of that one scene from Spinal Tap when David St. Hubbins has his girlfriend fill out the rhythm section.

  • I still like this song!

  • i love this album

  • Blackmore is great...nice vid!

  • Echt toll! Awesome vid:))

  • Thanks Beez forthe great videos!

  • Awesome tune! thanks james for share! 5*****! Thanks thiagoafrock for post!

  • Black es el mejor

  • I simply love this album!

    This really is magical music.

    5 stars from me

  • I am so happy he finally found himself in this kind of music :)

  • ritchie , come back to Deep Purple , please !

  • so ein geiles Lied und eine geile Band

  • I want him back in Deep Purple!!

  • Ritchie is the God of the Guitar!!! He is just incredible musician!! You can still hear it, his playing is so amazing! But it's a pitty, that he didn't find better musicians to make this band. Especially the singer isn't good, she is just beautifull... It is such a pitty! But he is still genius and the BEST!!

  • that sucked. what the hell richie. bring back dio

  • tolle musik, - mal was anderes- so ziemlich einzigartig

  • MARAVIWONDERFULL

  • Why? What happened?

  • Goddness, hear the moment from 3:00 ^^

  • ritchie blacmore is the most underated guitar player and musician tht ever lived

but i think he likes it tht way

    hes a musical genius

  • Out of Ritchie's work, I liked Rainbow best, and Deep Purple second best.

That was my taste as a young teenager growing up in the eighties. I think I liked Rainbow's vocalists better: Dio and JLT particularly. :-)

I saw Ritchie live in concert with Deep Purple

on the House Of Blue Light Tour in Providence, Rhode Island in April of 1987.

  • The Drummer From Rainbow's Nephew Is Teaching Me The Drums.. :D

  • candice is simpley divine

is that girl who playing a guitar next to candice one of the sissters of the moon

  • She's absolutely stunning - in a 'girl-next-door' way - I'm so happy for both of them. God bless you, Ritchie.

  • Luv the progression from Deep Purple to Rainbow to Blackmore's Night...a flowing. This is most awesome! Feeling back in another time and place....

  • I think he should go back to Purple. He's Stll a great guitarist though

  • well, he's doing what he wants, I suppose. I think he's not caring much about fame...

  • No you don't, and he hasn't =]

And a Banjo... what a music expert you are. I don't think you're opinion on music can do too much justice if you don't know anything about it.

He also started out on classical, so he technically started here, and went to rock.

It's in his blood, and it's actually much more difficult to play, in some aspects.

Let him do what he wants to do, I say.

  • I'm not saying he shouldn't, if he's happy like that, he should do that!

I love people who folloqw their hearts.

  • the drummer is my drum teacher malcolm dick he is gr8

  • Cool!

  • jsou fakt dobrý :-*

  • Nejlepší!

  • souhlasím :)

  • To whom it may concern...

Why do you always accuse a girl of changing a {presumably good} boy's mind, huh?

You must be... sort of secret buggers, mustn't you? Or how should I call boys who doesn't like girls?

  • I love their music, own all the CDs, but good grief - this sound quality is horrible. The music sounded great right up until Candice started singing, then it went south. One of the greatest mistakes many singers make is using too much reverb. It's over the top here, ruins the performance. Richie, nice playing, as usual. Rainbow rules.

  • The excessive reverb is present all through the recording. It is how it was recorded. Great song, and her voice is pure silk if you ever have the chance to listen with your ears.

  • That's right; if you use too much reverb everything just gets "muddy". In the 80's a lot of people used too much of it and a lot of those recordings aren't too good (even though the bands are/were). It much be harder singing too, I guess, when you hear both the notes you have sung and those you are singing. How do you know which is which?

  • Que lindaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

  • Muy, por tu nick puedo deducir que viste este video por blackmore

  • Hear! If you don't like BN don't see the videos. It's very easy. I like BN so much, I've never hear this lovely music before and now, when I listen to them I feel very peaceful. (sorry if my English is too bad, I'm Spanish)

  • You're not English?

Seriously, that little bit of text you wrote contained very good English (and better than many English people!)

  • Thanks, jaja, but I'm 100% Spanish. I recognize that I like languages very much, but I've never hear that I write English so well, hehe ^^

  • Great guitar solo!!! I love it!

  • I just Cryed, donno why...

  • hmm, wonder what made Blackmore turn off his guitar, maybe the girl. Good for him, bad for rock'n roll

  • The soloist is one of ther greatest guitarists ever....RICHIE BLACKMORE !! Pure brilliance.

  • cand anyone hear that the soloist is deftoned?

  • haha ur retarded man, thats ricthie blackmore, 1 of the best guitarist in the world if not the best.

  • dude, i'm talking about the girl

  • wow.. i juz heard this band and it rocks..

  • AWESOME, this is one of my favourite songs. Thanks for posting.

  • You are classless and banal (look it up).

  • Poor quality audio here but Blackmore's Night is one of my favorite bands but they are often unheard of by many people.

My favorite songs of Blackmore's night are:

The Times They Are A Changin'

    The Storm

    Cartouche

    Rainbow Blues

    PLay Minstrel Play

    Minstrel Hall

    Renaissance Faire

Fleetwood Mac also offer similar music.

  • Thanks for the heads up about Fleetwood Mac. I don't think I've heard them but will go find some stuff.

  • that's the first time i see and hear the music of this group. It's a fantastic discovery . What a beautiful music! i loved it.Thanks for the video!

  • you might of heard of Deep Purple or Rainbow. Ritchie Blackmore was the leading guitarist there. After breakdown of Rainbow he created a band with his wife - Candice Night. He is a LEGEND

  • Actually, that's not accurate. You see, Rainbow didn't exist after mid-80's. After that Ritchie and friends regrouped as Deep Purple. Later on they made one album with Joe Lynn Turner. But DP fans didn't like him so he was replaced by Ian Gillan. Ritchie didn't like this, nor did he have any love for Gillan. So, he left DP sometime in the 90's. After that he did... something. And at one point he made a new Rainbow and they made one album. After that he founded Blackmore's Night with Candice
