  • Who says that the best bands came out of England in the 60's?.....what they are from England? shit nvm

  • Fuck Yeah!!! singing like a boss!!

  • IN THE END THE BOSSES HAD ENOUGH OF NICKY,SO THEY SET UP A MEETING OUT IN THE STICKS.

THEY BURIED THEM WHILE THEY STILL BREATHING.

I ENDED UP DOING WHAT I DID BEST:PICKING WINNERS.

THATS WHAT THIS SONG REMINDS ME:CASINO!!!

  • @gdielli Are you talking about a film? Please do tell.

  • @thatguru877 Yeah Its the end of 'Casino'

  • makes me want to kill a man to this song...

  • @MathClass902....Are you sure This is a song from wayback .I have never felt any subliminal message .We danced to this then .I'm 74 and still dance to this .

  • 48 years later this song still has sonic fury.

  • Ok...if u want to see the house of the rising sun for yourself just check google maps...

  • There is an embeded meaning in this song...a meaning that separates it from most modern songs. Sad....

  • 642 crackheads viewed this.......¸¸.¤°´¯`°{° Ouzotime is anytime °}°´¯`°¤.¸¸...

  • the sons of anarchy remix is really good, but not as good as the original

  • dthis came out during the year of the british invasion and the beatles, the stones, the who, none of them could touch songwriting like this. Superb.

  • Ya'll need to chill out and enjoy the genius :)

  • Condescending idiots, there's plenty of good music these days you're just too blind and nostalgic to notice it, shut up you elitist scum.

  • i am 15 and i love this kind of music better than present day music......the music nowadays is so dumb, its just noise

  • @dalton123489 I click your profile.. first thing I see you like an Eminem ft Lil Wayne video YEAH NICE ONE MATE.

  • @qwertyuiopdan1 stalker much bro?

  • @dalton123489 Yeah that whole 5 seconds it took me to look on your profile to see that you were full of shit. "bro", you're the fucking cancer that gives the youth of today a bad name. Jog on.

  • @qwertyuiopdan1 haha dude chill, you realize you are arguing with a teenager, great maturity "mate"

  • @dalton123489 No argument here I'm just pointing out if you're going to spew shit you're going to get called on it, it's a life lesson not an argument. You're welcome.

  • wow, basses were big back then.

  • @punk3r7 and cheap i'll bet that Bass went for less than $200 now if you can find one i'll bet is over 2k

  • Uma musica assim nunca mais será ouvida ao vivo pois

as pessoas tentam dizer que vc é louco pq ouve musica velha mais

na verdade elas são loucas por ouvirem coisas tão ruins quanto é a musicas de hoje

  • I need to invent a time machine, life was just so much better back then. Music , governments, people, sex, drugs and rock n roll. what the hell happend.

  • This is true talent. Fuck off lil wayne you have nothing on these guys.

  • Amazing for guys that young to have such a soulful sound. Obvious why some tunes pass through "hit" on their way to "classic".

  • How is this video such good quality from 1964, but some videos these days look like they were shot with a banana?

  • @Mosseify Becuase people gave a damn about how their music and video looked. Now it seems like that all went to hell.

  • Essa música me lembra do filme Cassino que por sinal ótima atuação de Roberto de Niro.

  • Epic.

  • The guitarist looks like James Milner

  • i've got goosebumbs *-*

  • Hi kids! For those who don't know, this is about a house of prostitution.

  • Bob Dylan wrote this song. Just see "No Direction Home", by Martin Scorcese. But it had its success with the Animals, that's other truth.

  • Messi : O

  • they voice doesnt fit the singer

u would think he would be much older and look much less like a teenager

    but i love this song

  • haha serious song and one of 'em's smilin like a goof. :)

  • He's cute but he makes funny facial expressions when he sings.

  • Dat keyboard solo...

  • NEURUPIN

  • LUUUV IT <3

  • @muks91 In New Orleans, he said it in the song, dude.

  • You say beatles, i say bieber

you say beach boys, i say jonas brothers

    Shame on you

  • @hadrien154 that is some funny shit there, well played sir

  • Brilliant all time classic!

  • if only this WAS in HD.

  • Hard to believe Eric was around 23 here. He looked no older than 16!

  • I first heard the song in the movie Casino.

  • This song just reminds me of all the guys in Casino getting capped off one by one.

  • related videos - doors, hendrix, monkees, animals, bloodhound gang, led zeppelin.... the fak?

  • Who is that on the keyboard

  • I'm speechless." Where do I belong" in the video responses just blew me away

  • I forgot what movie this was in !!!

  • me too, it is wonderfull..!!

  • I love this song to death

  • so........ inspirational :(

  • only 18 years of age and this is my fav song!

  • my brain just imploded on itself trying to explain how mindbogglingly amazing this song is

  • gotta miss the good old days when a sing had a deeper meaning and made you think and reflect on your own life.R.I.P. Music you've been replaced by noise

  • I bet most kids would'nt even understand this song!

  • @atter0 damn, you're one hip grandpa!

  • I was born in the wrong era of music :(

  • @suspiciousdg The one where people attempt to sing with the same beat repeating over and over again in the background? Same here...

  • @ProZo17 its not singing, it's failed poetry reading sessions with a pseudo-melody that is barely distinguishable from every other generic pop song

  • Dear world,

I apologize for what my sorrowful generation has done to music.

    yours truly,

a teenager with good taste in music

  • @sk8r2221 Fuck off you're completely wrong.

  • @sk8r2221 Aw, come on. Really, fuck you. Stop living in the past and look around. If jou look past all the crappy mainstream music, there is a lot of really good music around. You've just got to see it. As if it was all superb bands and really good music before. It's easy to look at all the music in history and then say there were more good songs in the past than there are now

  • @sk8r2221 I totally agree

  • @sk8r2221 I am a teenager too, and I happen to like a lot of "old" songs from dead or nearly dead artists, but i am able to see that there are good artists nowadays too.

  • @sk8r2221 wow, good job shitting on every artist out there right now who r working their ass off to try to please the public including u

  • I watched the all 4 seasons of Sons of Anarchy in the last few weeks, the last finale in season 4 played a similar song to this, if you get a chance listen to it, i liked the song so much i had to listen to this version again. What a truly great piece of art, this is what is greatest in life, witnessing the true soul of humans when playing music like this. BRAVO

  • Neuruppin!!!

  • Gazo, This song its for you guy...congratulations.

  • im 12 what is this

  • @365073 One of the best songs you'll ever hear thats what it is.

  • @365073 its music kiddoo no dj and no computer enjoy

  • 1:45

I'm 17 and I think that no one can match that skill these day's

  • Excellent love this

  • Wizened little ruffian. Scraped out of the gutter. Awesome.

  • Been stuck in my head all day, classic brilliance beats any song released nowadays

  • I'm 18, and This is music.

  • Semplicemente FA-VO-LO-SA!

  • good to see people still listening to this in 2012. :)

  • A time where a voice was more powerful than looks! Now they just use autotuners and fake the actual voice.

  • I swear, I think of Casino everytime I hear this song. I fucking love this song. I always have. I love growing up to great music like this. :)

  • Hilton Valentine (lead guitarist) came to m school last year and i got to meet him. coolest thing ever. its weird to have met him when he was so old now and then to come here and see this video and think "wow, that's the same person." it blew my mind. hes lived through so much

  • @jeckert42 how does the fact that he knows how to play a guitar better than others make it that he has "lived through so much"? -_-

  • @IvO09 he lived so much because hes old, not because he played guitar

  • @StonedReviewer ...What? He said he lived THROUGH so much. People experience life differently, someone who lived in a box all their life would not have lived through so much as someone who had lived outside the box, as those people would have experienced more.

  • Hank Williams Jr.'s is the best version.

This original version is real jazzy, more jazz like than I remembered.

  • This song always reminds me of the scene in casino when joe pesci and his bro get beaten by the baseball bats and buried alive...

  • @S4NCT1FY, I'm 15 too, don't be ashamed to be part of our generation, because (as the comments on this video have proved) many people our age don't listen to the music of the dance/pop machine, and appreciate what it is that makes music true, and heartfelt. Let's just stop complaining about the fact that there are those that listen to music we don't like, and enjoy what we see as being real.

  • Smart ass or fool, young or old, we all live in the "House of the Rising Sun..."

  • excellent song. thumbs up if you are younger than 100 and dont give a shit about people's age

  • @CheestPizza im 101 and dont appreciate being excluded from giving you a thumbs up

  • @CheestPizza I was going to give you a big thumbs up but Im actually 101 years old.

  • @CheestPizza This is cool man, respect! Not like this nowdays music with lil wayne

  • I was being born now....cool! @the U of A.

  • SIMPLY GREAT!

  • now this is a song with meaning behind it and real talent involved, not like most of today's songs

  • supernatural <3

  • 3:33 After that i have a hard time looking at anyone else but the guitar player.

  • @tophlovr Hahaha oh god I totally lost it

  • The doors ram jam

  • @milsap98 jimi hendrix led Zeppelin rollin stones umm idk

  • Hello, Im 15.

I've listened to Music like this ever since I can remember.

I feel ashamed being apart of today's generation.

  • mad keyboarding awesomeness!

  • Can you guys recommend any other good songs/bands from this genre that are similar to thi s one? Thanks :)

  • Eric Burdon used to be so fucking hot.

  • Ahh, the good o'l animals, best band and song in the WORLD!

  • Who's gives a fuck about your age lmao

  • Love this song! The lead singer looks a littler bit like Joseph Gordon Levitt.

  • His voice is amazing! And I'm not gonna lie, he's pretty frickin hot

  • Amazing voice.. :o

  • THE BEATLES COVER

  • The Animals - Justin Beiber , Selena Gomez , Lady Gaga , Jonas Brothers , Nick Minaj , Taio Cruz , Ke$ha and others shits --'

  • the guy with the guitar is smiling at the end so wide cuz in his head he's like "nailed it."

  • @erikajordan89 i think its cuz he frying and just cant keep from grinning

  • I am 18 years old and i think this is a masterpiece.

  • If you didn't like this song you wouldn't have clicked play in the first place.

  • i hate to be that guy, but i seriously wanna know who thumbed this down. like what was going through your mind? "This song sucks," could not be in your head while listening to this song.

  • The beginning sounds like "Always Somewhere - Scorpions"

  • Jim was the only one bigger.

  • Jim Morrison's lil bro.

  • @Robert27962 is it really?

  • The rest of the band have no fucking idea.

    He was the true Messiah.

  • every 1 says i look like the lead singer of this

  • Go on the Geordies!! What a great video, keyboards and Eric Burdon's voice.

  • @SuperSimonuk not sure what you are inferring as Classof67 was correct in his/her spelling. Great song though. A real classic.

  • @ bouffetachips - Looks like you're the only one who didn't noticed that it's just a videoclip, by the way, a amazing one.

  • @cosmicspooky you forgot : Quick experiment - thumbs up this if you are 30 or older.

  • Am I the only one that noticed that their guitars were not plugged ??

  • eric burdon's voice transcends race

  • no one cares how old u are just shut up

  • I'm exactly 30, and often use "your" instead of "you're" by mistake, though I know the difference, because I'm not a native anglophone. Anyway, classic song.

  • 13 years old. I'm legendary.

  • 23yrs old...brought up with proper music...

  • Well, I am in the over 30 crowd. One way to distinguish from those under 30 is by our spelling. We use "you're" instead of "your" like comicspooky just did. We also know the difference between to and too they're, their and there. And, we are known by the music of the 60's. I'll take Eric Burdon any day of the week over Lil' Wayne LOL.

  • @Classof67 If you're over 30 you shouldn't say LOL...

  • @Classof67 bro, I'm 17 and I'd take Eric Burdon over Lil' Wayne too. Age means nothing. My generation has fools, just as yours does. I prefer Led Zeppelin over Nicki Minaj. I'd take RUSH over Coldplay.

    Age doesn't mean shit. :)

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey I totaly agree after the early early 70's music died (Rush is an exception though)

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey Shame, I like Coldplay.

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey - hey cmon now, Coldplay isn't bad...

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey 100%, age doesn't mean shit - UNLESS you accumulated at least a little bit of wisdom and maturity along the journey. In that case, shithead, it means everything!! What a pathetic mess you are if you don't realize this. The other side of the coin is that no matter HOW old some people get in years, their brains/mind NEVER mature or grow wiser. That's the problem that I see first-hand today. Young idiots that can't even read or write, let alone do math

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey True that to hell bro. I'm 17 too, and couldn't give a crap about these "modern" artists. I love classic rock, classical solo piano/violin (esp from the romantic era), and 80's hits. Though I enjoy a sprinkle of quality dubstep, and melodic metalcore. Yes, I'm weird...

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey This music means so much more for people growing up in 1964 mate... So yeah age does matter

  • @TheNutsyMan It doesn't mean much more as the song itself is much, much older than the 60's. This is just, by far, the best version to have ever been put on tape. Do not claim Rising Sun to be a 60's song though.

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey who the hell is nicki minaj lol

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey Right on, man

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey I agree completely man, I'm 17 too, I swear people are age just can't see what real music means anymore.

  • @MrFishyFishyFishey haha its funny how age means nothing

  • @Classof67 You do realise here in the UK we spell certain words differently to the USA...?

  • @Classof67

    ok thanks dude

  • 642 people missed the "like" button.

  • yes u r, sorry

  • That's a favorite of mine from so long ago. God, am I really that old??? Damn, I guess "hope I die before I get old" needs to get here REAL quick.

  • They look like its so easy

  • 641 Leute waren zu besoffen und haben den Gefällt Mir Buttom verwechselt

  • wo wo(8)

  • quick experiment, thumbs up this if your under 30 years old

  • @cosmicspooky I think most people that are over 30 years old dont really view comments if they use youtube :D

  • @cosmicspooky I'll comment instead. Yes I am under 30 years old.

  • @cosmicspooky 29 but hey < 30

  • @cosmicspooky That backfired. Turns out everybody loves this song

  • @cosmicspooky 19 exactly.

  • @cosmicspooky that's a record right there bro.

  • @cosmicspooky did not expect this turnout wow.
