thanks so much for posting this. However I have one question. Was it raining on the day? What a magnificent way to pay homage to Peter Perfect. RIP The King Of Mountain
Too right...especially Conrod Straight, which was just incredible... I can understand why they had to make the changes for safety reasons, though. Still, it's a great circuit and Brocky was THE King of the Mountain -- and always will be for me. The way he'd take it flat out through MacPhillamy Park and on into Skyline...I still reckon nobody else held it so neat and steady through that section like he did but ok maybe I'm biased. ;)
Umm Guys i believe he was regarding to the lines not been perfect i'm sure he knew it was a lap in memory of Peter Brock! and use are in no vote to call any one a noob.
Good Memory lap i'm going to be doing one of these soon when they put the statues up!!
Even though i'm a ford fan ill still do it!! R.I.P Brocky!!
The track is used on a lot of racing games for PS2, Xbox, Nintendos etc. It's a pretty famous track in Australia and around the world. The view is from the bullbar of my car, we wrapped a heap of sticky tape around it to hold it secure.
Lap record is 2:06.9 in a 680hp Holden. 6 minutes in a Pajero is quite acceptable. Well done.

No it was not raining. The footage isn't the best, it was a phone camera.

The track would have been different back then, they have made a couple of changes.

The track is open to the public but normal road rules apply and you have to stick to the 60km/h speed limit.
