I am dying myself to get hold of the full song from the concert. He has sang "man jaan kharabatam" with so much passion and beautiful variations in delivery that has left everybody else who had sang the song before in the cold.
he did good brother jaan but don't compare him with ustad sarahang that's just sound very immature and make you look like you don't know any thing about music
left every one before him in cold .he would not be able to even play tabla with is his real profession with ustad sarahang
@afgmumtazfan Ustad Sarahang is Ustaad Sarahang. He was The Classical Singer in Afghanistan. There is absolutely no doubt about that. But my friend we are talking about "Jan-e-Kharabaat" song which is of Ustaad but is not a classical song. At least any singer that I know in Afghanistan have tried to sing that song but I found Ahmad Wali's version more passionate, more melodious and better sounding. I love Ustaad Sarahang's songs even more after Ahmad Wali sung them like "Imrooz nawbahar ast".
and thank you for very respectful reply.A.w has great voice and talented singer some how i dont know why he sings to many copy composes of Indians with his 60 year experience he should do much better to protect Afghan music
My friend, Karim jaan is at least 2 years younger than Ahmad Wali. I know them for a long time as Karim was my classmate and friend for 4 years at Kabul Uni. No doubt he is an excellent and outstanding compositor. However, on this occasion, the CD lable itself gives credit to Ahmad Wali.
Dear visitors, the original song is over 14 minutes long where ahmad wali indulges himself in mixing some different ragas. however, to comply with the YouTube time limitations the song is shortened. hope it has not diminished its superb quality and presentation.

Please credit this composition to Mr. Karim Shenawa the older brother of Ahmad Wali jan. This is not from Ahmad Wali jan self

Dear friend, I am a big fan of both of them and I just wanted to make clear that this composition of Karim jan was and not of A. Wali jan.

there are 4-5 ragas based in this composition, each antara (verse) has a different raga, then the astahi (chorus) is based in one raga.
the composition is his brother's
Ahmad Karim "Shenawa"

Dear Karwizz, I know Karim jan is an excelent compositior, however, on the Aatash CD inlay itself the composition credit is given to
Ahmad Wali himself.

"Atash" is sung so skillfully that only A. Wali jan can make it possible. Excellent voice, compose, lyrics, and music! Longlive A. Wali jan.
