that made me laugh :) first you really should learn to shoot the AR15 platform both ways, however why would you bother trying to "teach" some one to shoot opposite handed by simple having them confirm that it is initially awkward and then give up :) the level of fake in this show is insulting

I too am a left handed shoot and shot that rifle many many times without a shell in face couldn't see close to his but on the ones I fire there is a bump (can't remember the official name) between the ejection port and the forward assit that defects the rounds away from the shooter...
All of these so called "gun pros" and no one on the show noticed that he was shooting left handed with the his right eye?? He claims @ 1:18 he claims he can't sight bc he so used to sighting with his left eye, but at 2:04 his face is all the way over the stock sighting with his right eye. He sights correctly with his left eye before he starts shooting, but as soon as he starts shooting he goes to the right eye. All FAKE!!!
@MrTRUCID0 same here. it does have a built in brass deflector that works. not like when i was in the army, and that 'clip on' piece of crap caught the shell, and then it swiveled it into my shirt. LOL
if the upper has a brass deflector. shooting a right ejection AR left handed is no problem imo. i shoot left handed and all my AR's are right ejection.
I always liked this show, but on this particular situation I thought it was disrespectful to not just swap the part for the left handed counterpart... Its an easy swap and they make money... Quit Bitchin!
@Dre6k I guess because he said a friend gave him the rifle. One could only think that the Stag upper swap was cheaper then buying a whole rifle... FYI I own Stag leftys...
@Dre6k Stag's rack LH models are only half so. Charging handle and mag release are RH. Casing does eject left and safety is left. I wish I'd just gotten a RH model and learned to deal with it as a southpaw.
So incredibly stupid. Since the M16A2 there has been a shell deflector on the upper receiver that keeps the brass from kicking back in the shooter's face when shooting left handed. Besides my issue M16A2 (I also was issued the M16A1 and used a clip on shell deflector) I have owned and shot my share of ARs over the last 15 years. All right hand actions shot left shoulder due to a left master eye and bad astigmatism in the right eye. Only now do I have a Stag 2L. It is nice having a lefty AR.
