There wasn't passion at that time, but now she has a passion. This video was made by 3 years ago. And she is only 15 years old at now. She passed enterance examination to Korean Art High School one month ago by piano.

My comment was made on an old video. I am sure your girl has made tremendous progress since that time. I understand that technique has to be learnt and acquired at a young age. Interpretation comes after technique.

Influence of Bach should be felt in this Chopin. The passing of themes between hands should be clearer. Should have been played with more expression and phrasing to achieve better shape. This is far too mechanical.

Thanks for your interesting :-) My daughter is now exercising chopin etude Op. 10 No. 5 Black Key very hardly to win musical contest after 1 week. So now she can't exercise this piece once again. Please pardon me !!

technique need to get better to be able to play this with clarity... i suggest doing more hannon no 1....try czerny book for finger dexterity and maybe some picshna finger and technical excercises.... this is a pretty good performance but i think with these you can achieve higher results (and more satisfying *winks*

the ""finger technique"" intended by hanon is WRONG.

you need instruction specifically on how to move the hand (see Taumban piano method). then mix that with rigorous drills. taubman hand method is natural hand posture applied to piano. finger technique is WRONG. WRONG.

Yes you are right ! But I think the reason is short finger. Her finger is small as much as she can touch one octave barely.

@siteeye yes, disregard my previous comment. Her technique approach is actually already what i described as correct taubman. Her finger being small could be a problem.

make sure in general that she does full sets of combinations of drills etc anyway
