Mine is 1969 which I've had since new. Norhing done until three years ago when it was given a full recon.

Nice thing is they have been resurrected and are available again new. Haven't tried a new one as yet so not sure how they compare.

@mheads2 second hand, pretty rough but its my first (and probably will be my only) 12 string. It's basically original except half the bridge pins are newer, the other half original, or so i was told, and it seems some of the finish on the top was stripped off.

It's still very playable and sounds great.

That would be great! I can figure out the chords you are playing and your fingering single notes if you just zoomed in on your left hand a bit closer. I really enjoy your version! I just started playin guitar in October. I might not be quite ready to do the fancy picking but I am ready to at least strum your version.. That would be awesome!! Wonderful cover of a great song... Keep posting them. I hear the same thing about smiling when I play. If it is sounds good and it feels good then what does it matter. As long as you don't look angry. Romeo and Juliet is not a very jolly song at that. Great job!

Guitar is Ovation Custom Legend 2001 model (shallow bowl). I only use it for standard tuned stuff these days and which is only about 25% of the time.

Yo! Love the Egyptian headgear! I guess I don't much class R&J as love song as such but I suppose it is really. The laid back quality of the lyric appeals to me. Shindell lyrics also appeal as they tend to hit the mark without being overly sentimental - just as do 'observation' lyrics about life and those with deeper double meanings.
