the cat may not have been in any obvious pain or discomfort BUT stop for a second and consider that this animal and many others like it have the same basic emotional structure as us ..love , fear , anger , hate , loyalty , and most important of all , a sense of family... im not saying that animals think like us but they damn sure do have the same basic feelings ,its the very reason that animals and humans can form REAL bonds .... i bet you broke its heart when you did that.

Cats are also inherently selfish little fuckers. A cat chooses to stay with you. If a cat is unhappy it will bolt and never come back.
